While it too early to say for sure how the Diamondbacks will approach the trade deadline, that didn't stop us from talking about which positions the team might most want to upgrade, along with the names of a few players that could be of interest. Among the names we disussed were Ryan O'Hearn of the Orioles, David Bednar of the Pirates and Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals. 

When it comes to the bullpen, should the Diamondbacks be looking to move Shelby Miller and Jalen Beeks into lower-leverage roles or only to supplement what they are already doing? Are we sure it makes sense for the D-backs to buy at all given all of the assets they would have to sell? 

We also talked about the Diamondbacks' pitching development issues, and why infield prospect JD Dix has yet to move up to Single-A Visalia. Finally, we previewed the upcoming series against the Toronto Blue Jays and took a look at MLB's first update for All-Star game voting. Are Ketel Marte, Corbin Carroll and Eugenio Suárez getting the love they deserve?
