Here's what we tried: Local 89 Fire Sticks (Ranch base, jalapeño slices, topped with mozzarella and provolone with a Calabrian chili aioli)

Then, Kelsey talks about Alison Botha and her survival after being abducted in South Africa where she was held at knife point, raped, stabbed repeatedly and left for dead.

The Creeps also talk about letting each other know about food secrets, perfect crust, as well as letting y'all know that we're a safe space if you need someone to talk to.

In this episode, the Creeps try a couple flavors of Skittles Drinks, a non-carbonated bright and colorful concoction that is flavored like you're eating Skittles. Our hosts tried "Sour" which was nicely tart and reminded us of vampire'ing our teeth into the foil of a little hug drink, and "Original" which I guess tasted original...
Then, to whom it may concern STOP Matt relays an odd tale of a woman, Ricki Smith, from Kentucky STOP Who was told in her brain? STOP by Kanye West using little taps on a table maybe? STOP Telegraphically and not telepathically... to take a car. Yeezy has been accused of the wizardly arts of Telegraphy STOP

They also talk about sweet moves, spit takes, long pauses and Matt sings a little bit.

This week, the Creeps came back from all the festivities of their second invite as judges to Taste of Bridge Day, a massive event that coincides with all the other Bridge Day events of the weekend. A fundraiser to benefit Canyon Rim Rotary Club, this yearly event is located at Adventures on the Gorge. Plan early next year, as they usually sell out of tickets.

Then,  Matt talks about Elizabeth Short, also known as the woman who was murdered in 1947 in Leimert Park in Los Angeles, which famously became the Black Dahlia killing. This mysterious murder and mutilation is still unsolved nearly eighty years later.

The Creeps also wish you a Happy Halloween, talk about our love of cheese, full pepperoni rolls, being exhausted from Spooky Season events, and explain more about what Bridge Day encompasses, including catapulting folks off a giant bridge.

In this episode, the Creeps get creepy in Spooky Season, by trying not one, but TWO ghostly and ghastly flavors of bright saccharine soda goodness.

First, we try the 2024 Mystery Flavor of Mountain Dew's now famous VooDew line. It's safe to say they were very unsure on solving the mystery but they definitely loved it. Then, we say this soda's name three times in hopes he'll appear. We tried the Beetlejuice Haunted Apple Fanta that reminded us of spiced caramel apples, and it is so monstrously green you'll have to grab one just to see it.
Then, Kelsey gives us another story ripped from the headlines of the TikTok For You Page... This story is one from TikTok itself, where a widespread viral video made the claim that you could get free money from Chase Bank ATM's if you did an odd (bad) thing with checks. Spoiler alert, you could not, but you could end up with a free trip to jail.

The Creeps also talk about 90s potpourri, dumb criminals, and putting some more zhuzh on top of it.

This week, the Creeps try beautiful cupcakes from Bonnie Belle's, a classic bakery from Clarksburg, their newer shop located at 20 Shaner Dr, Bridgeport, WV. Open M-F 7:30 AM- 6:00 PM and Saturdays 8-3.
Here's what we tried: A frosted sugar cookie and an absurd assortment of cupcakes: s'mores, apple filled, classic white cake, and a chocolate raspberry that Matt ended up enjoying (He is not a fruit filling guy)
Then, Matt treats you to an experimental episode, ripped from the tweets, a recent development in festivals gone wrong: We're covering the botched debauchery of the Detroit Bridgerton inspired Ball, a meetup for super fans of the Netflix series that occurred around late August, where fans didn't at all get what they originally signed up for due to shady business practices on a large scale.
The Creeps also talk about youth and their tic tacs, vacation brain fog, ponies, lots of holiday growth, budget weddings, and being frantic at the last minute.

In this episode, the Creeps try a candy bar that is "a ghostly sheet of cinnamon toast flavored creme" that is definitely not... supposed to taste like cinnamon toast crunch cereal, so it doesn't. Don't even ask whether it for sure does.
Then, Kelsey gives us the solid golden story of a warehouse worker in Australia that stole a whole dragon hoard's worth of limited edition Australian currency coins that are themed like the kids show, Bluey. He allegedly stole $600k AUD worth of the coins (nearly $400k USD) before he was arrested in Sydney. If you have any information leading authorities to the whereabouts of the rest of the coins, they're asking you to contact Australian Crimestoppers.

Never forget that this episode is where the Creeps came up with the term "Matt'irondack chair" and society is better for it. The Creeps also talk about trick or treaters, sweet kangaroo karate moves, toilet science, the "Keepy Uppy game" and Matt's objective to call folks "bandit" again.

This week, Kelsey comes back to us from the Healing Appalachia event. If you don't know about the great work going on with that festival, please look it up. Incredible bands playing in support of one of the most important causes in our state, addiction recovery.

Kelsey brought home some pickles from the West Virginia Pickle Guy, followed by jerky for us to try from Cane Creek Jerky, handcrafted locally sourced jerky from Lexington, Kentucky. Kelsey, Matt, and even the Editor rated the pickles and the jerky so very high.

Here's what we tried: "dang good" Pineapple Habanero sliced pickles, just the softest Spicy Beef Jerky ever
Then, Matt talks about an event that happened 30 years ago, August of 1994, around Oakville Washington. You gotta tell all your friends about this one, we think it's much bigger and far more bizarre than the meat rain incident of similar repute. An event that involved blobs of unknown origin and material makeup, which fell from the skies onto everything below, covering an area around twenty square miles across a period of three weeks.

The Creeps also talk about the Derby, grabbing chips, Sicily being pictured, bee weather, and cute dogs at events. Also the Editor gets sweet revenge around eight minutes in.

In this episode, the Creeps drink two new Nestle Sensations cereal and waffle themed milks, not sure flavored is the right word. We tried one that is Frosted Flakes, the other is Eggo waffles and syrup. You be the judge on whether you find these sweets to be treats or tricks, dream or nightmare. 

Then, Matt tells Kelsey about an awful occurrence over and under a bridge in Chicago, that is well known as "Poopgate" or the Dave Matthews Band Bus Incident, although that one makes it sound far less gross and odd than it is. On August 8, 2004, twenty years ago, the operator of a tour bus belonging to Dave Matthews Band unloaded around 800 pounds of human waste from the bus, through the Kinzie Street Bridge into the river. However, this waste also landed directly onto tourists riding in an open-top passenger sightseeing boat that happened to be sailing by underneath. Do we need to remind y'all that DMB wrote a song called Don't Drink the Water...

The Creeps also talk about 90s ads, backpack sadness, cashew poison, nipples on nuts, and whatever Matt's talkin' about. (A shitshow, as matt put it)

The Creeps try simple and easy home cooked items that were scratch made by our host Kelsey, using a hand picked selection of fresh ingredients from our latest visit to the Bridgeport Farmer's Market.

Here's what we tried: A big Sandwich, on whole wheat bread, piled high with so many veggies, including grilled marinated eggplant, feta, and a tangy slaw. She also made peach crumble for dessert. Ingredients pulled from The Vegetable Garden, & Green Thumb Botanicals

The Creeps also talk about Matt's love of Australian filmmaking, affordable meal prep, and onions.

Then, Matt talks about several young backpackers who went missing and were killed brutally in New South Wales, Australia in the late 80's to early 90s, true stories which influenced the Wolf Creek series of films and shows. This episode contains graphic descriptions of killings, discretion advised. 

In this episode, the Creeps snack on the odd delights of Meiji's Chocorooms, a mushroom shaped biscuit coated in milk and dark chocolate (and thankfully for Kelsey contains no actual mushrooms)

Then, Matt ushers us into Spooky Season with a few local legends, all of which involving creatures in and around The Mon, the Monongahela River, which flows through the Fairmont and Morgantown areas North into Pennsylvania. For this episode, we cover the Ogua, an enormous snapping turtle-like animal, the Monongy, which is a sort of odd fish that is said to be half human and possibly fought people in wartime, and the Rivesville River monster, a big long serpent like swimming animal with at least one fin.

They also talk about Cadbury pumpkins, candy corn, orcas, and wild ad memes.
