Main Protagonist Podcast

We live in dark times where piracy becomes necessity, studios receive death threats, and shitty romcom manga get full-fledged anime productions while projects with actual artistic merit beg for pennies on Kickstarter. From this abyss of despair arise our two protagonists, ready to take on another week of industry madness.

Today's episode features plenty of bizarre news, as well as an in-depth discussion on anime music and a tearful account of Casper's experience with losing his Sonic the Hedgehog virginity.

We were plagued by technical troubles, divine punishment, and sheer idiocy, but the third episode of the Main Protagonist Podcast is finally done. The main topic of today is physical anime goods, as we talk about our experiences with buying anime in an age of digital streaming and debate about news regarding absurdly expensive merchandise. Who needs piracy or Crunchyroll when you can spend 700 euros on an anime boxset before import fees and taxes?!

It's a shounen battle scene in podcast format! Two fierce rivals clash in violent debate, throwing punches (arguments) and firing off their most powerful attacks (swearing) with reckless abandon. Both combatants are left bloodied, but they were prepared to put their lives on the line for this. For the honor of GIRLS UND PANZER!

PANZER VOR!

In spite of sickness, technical issues, and horrible planning, the official first episode of the Main Protagonist Podcast is finally here. Pettry and Casper bicker for control of the "main protagonist" title while debating about anime they have recently seen, and running through last week's news highlights. This first episode features fierce arguments over Girls und Panzer, anxiety over remakes of childhood favorites, and desperate pleas for sponsorship. We hope you enjoy!

On this episode we run through the week's anime news highlights and share strange stories from anime conventions and teenage obsessions. Pettry claims a major victory and flexes his knowhow of video game emulation, while Casper rants passionately about Higurashi. This is still a demo episode as we continue to refine our setup, but you'll find it bursting with content!
