Monday News Update (6/20/22)

We hope everyone had a nice weekend, Here at Main Street TV we are kicking off the week with all of the news that’s fit for print as they  say! Pete Wilson is here and the legendary Red Thompson Jr might be stopping by too.

Happy Friday! First, Telegram Editor Pete Wilson stops by to give an update on the power outages locally. Then, this morning we are joined by Gail Games from Holzer Health System. Games will be talking about the new Holzer Leadership & Innovation Institute. Later Jennifer Ratcliff and Jeremiah Shaver chit chat about this and that. 

Friday News Update (6/17/22)

This morning we are joined by Hannah Bachtel from Holzer Wound Care to talk about how the summer heat is effecting those with diabetes. Later Jeremiah  Shaver sits down with Jackson Fire Chief David Channell to talk about  the Fireworks display coming up in a few weeks!

Senate Bill 215 which went into effect on Monday, June 13, removes the  requirement for Ohio gun owners to have a concealed carry permit. law  allows anyone to carry a concealed weapon, unless already prohibited  from owning a weapon, but many Law enforcement agencies still recommend  taking concealed carry courses and obtaining a license despite the new  law. Today on the show, Jackson County Sheriff Ted Frazier will be  visiting to explain the new law. Sheriff Frazier will also discuss the  bill signed into law Monday by Governor Mike DeWine that will allow  education employees in Ohio to carry guns on school premises.

Wednesday News Update (6/15/22)

Today we are joined by the crew from the Jackson City Library! They  kicked off their summer reading program “Oceans of Possibilities” on  June 8 with a Bike Safety Rodeo & continue on Wednesday, June 15  with a visit from the National Humane Educational Society. Other events  include Barker Farms Petting Zoo at the Lillian Jones Museum on June 22,  First Responders on June 29, 4-H on July 6, Mark Wood Fun Show on July  13, Movie Day at Tri-City Theatre on July 20, DJ Dance Party on July 27,  and Ohio Canid brings WOLVES TO THE LIBRARY on August 3!

Tuesday News Update (6/14/22)

Very busy news day today on Main Street TV! Truck crash on Portsmouth  Street, local athletes sign with colleges, and Red Thompson interviews X  games gold medalist Travis Pastrana.
