So you are a successful manager, and you feel you are a good leader. But if asked, what would the people who you work with say about your leadership capability. Do they follow you becuase you say they have to, or do they do it out of respect? Or perhaps it is somewhere in between. How to you truly rank as a leader, and how do you recognize your strengths and talents to get to that next level.

It is ironic that in a day when technology is growing daily, people power and the strength of teams is reaching new heights. In a recent global survey of CEO's, STEM and digital skills are seen as important; however, it is the soft skills such as adaptability, problem-solving, creativity and leadership that are in the highest demand. Bottom line is software cannot imitate passion, character or collaborative spirit. Join Rich and Maikel on this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

It is important as a leader to realize that those people we lead are human. There will be times that emotions run high, tempers flare, and things do get said as a result. This is especially true working with large groups of people. As a leader, it is important to always remember that as human beings, we are all flawed. We all have feelings, emotions, times of uncertainty, and we will all inevetibly make mistakes.
Rich and Maikel will discuss the importance of forgiveness as an important attribute as a leader on this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

Organizational Desperation, plain and simple. Apple announced today that they are paying key engineers up to $180K in bonuses and stock options to stay with the company. This was in response to Meta attempting to poach Apple's employees. Other organizations are doing the same while promoting employees into management roles they are not ready for. Senior leadership in 38% of fortune 1000 companies cite a thin leadership pipeline as a top human capital risk. All this taken into account, there has never been a more pressing time to invest in executive coaching to position yourself, or your organization, for the future.

We have all seen them before. The employees wandering from his or her work stations to breakroom and back again. Staring mindlessly at computer screens while consuming energy drinks in an effort to make it to quiting time. The endless cycle of going through the motions with no motivation, counting down the days until they get enough PTO to escape the mad house. All while those in positions of power are maneuvering for the next title grab creating siloed empires of yes people. Ugh! Sounds like a really bad business movie from the 80's, right?
The sad part of this is how many of us can relate to this in our own workplaces. Not feeling appreciated, no real motivation to succeed, numbers only please and don't tell me how you feel becuase we really don't care. If you are marking off the calendar for the next PTO day and have developed that thousand-yard stare, you may be working for Corporation Z.
Join us on this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT as we discuss how Leaders can help fight the zombie employee epidemic.
