  • The Diagnostic Tools of Leadership and Cultural Development

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

Prescription before diagnosis is malpractice. A physician would not prescribe a path to wellness if they did not know the patient's current condition. It would be considered unethical, negligent, improper or simply put, malpractice. The same applies to leadership and cultural development. Surveys, assessments and shareholder input are only diagnostic tools used to determine current condition and to develop the correct plan for the leader or organization. So what happens when organizations utilize these tools (either internally or from an outside source) and then only get the results with no developmental plan afterwards? Or worse yet, ignore the results or fail all together to implement a plan to address the issues? Rich and Maikel will unpack this topic on the this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

  • The Importance of a Firm Foundation in your Organizational Culture

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is a great example of the importance of building on a firm foundation. Started in 1173, it took two centuries to complete, and engineers are still trying to find a way to keep it from leaning and rotating further. Unlike the foundation of a building, the foundation of organizational culture comes from the top; the C-Suite. How confident are you that your organization has a solid foundation for your culture? This is not an issue to take frivoulously as 75% of business transformations flat-out fail, resulting in an organization’s decline, failure, or their eventual extinction. A big reason for their failure? CEO’s and senior leadership teams who were not as diligent as they needed to be in creating and transforming their culture in support of their operating goals. Ted Turner is a Master Certified Executive Coach and has spent an entire career managing and engineering complex construction projects on four different continents. Ted joins Rich and Maikel on the importance of a firm foundation.

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

Bruce Lee once state that, "Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one." This is as relevant in leadership as it is in our own personal lives. The organizations that thrive year after year have strong, resilient leaders at all levels. However, being resilient isn't only about toughing it out. Being strong in stressful situations is part of resilency, but it is only one piece of the puzzle.

John Burt, Master Certified Executive Coach joins us on this episode to unpack the importance of resiliency in leadership.

Or perhaps, has simply failed to see Mickey's eagerness to beome a Sorcerer himself. When the Sorcerer leaves Mickey on his own, Mickey, obviously the problem solver with great ideas, shows that he knows just enough to get the broom moving, but soon finds that he is in over his head and does not have a clue how to control the outcome. • Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

Mea Culpa is a Latin phrase that means, through my fault. Simply put, it is an acknowledgement of having done wrong, or in other words, an apology. Being a leader, you must understand that you are ultimately responsible for your team, and organization's performance. Removing the blame from your team takes the pressure off them and builds respect and positive team dynamics. All too often, people in leadership positions fail at this attribute because of the concern in protecting their own position and reputation. However, taking the accountablility for a team's mistakes is what seperates managers from truly great leaders. Rich and Maikel discuss Mea Culpa in today's episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

  • Character Determines your Ultimate Destiny

Thank you for all of your support. Please let us know what you think about our podcast and what topic you may want to hear from us. Leaders, Lead Well!

In approximately 520 BC, the Greek philopsopher Herculitus, stated that, "Character is Destiny." Fast forward to present day. John Mattone writes in his 50 Laws of Intelligent Leadership that, "Character won't determine your destiny; it will determine your ultimate destiny." All throughout history, from even before Herculitus, we have examples of how an individuals character determined how their lives, and in many instances, entire nations either prospered, or collapsed. So how does character determine how a leaders future is determined? Tim Roper of the Davis County Chamber of Commerce joins us once again to talk about this important topic on this episode of Mainline Leaders ACT.
