BC Children’s Hospital Foundation has announced that after a decade of collaborative research with infectious disease researchers, a first-in-the-world discovery has been made at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. The new evidence indicates that acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common type of childhood cancer, could be preventable through early-life infection of a common virus.
