A dramatic prequel to the hit story Love Me: A Romance Story, written by Francesca Perillo and drawn by Stefano Cardoselli. This story addresses universal themes of friendship, family, equality, and finding one's own truth.

She was lucky to be found in the Rainbow Sector by robots that cared for her. However, she has also been shielded from the outside world, other humans, and from a dangerous section of their robot world called the Dark Cage, where the most hostile of robots live. Word has spread about her ability to fix robots, though, and one vicious robot from the Dark Cage wants her to repair all of the violent robots that live there…and nothing will stop him. Artist Stefano Cardoselli (Don't Spit In The Wind, Long Cold Winter) and writer Francesca Perillo (Long Cold Winter) reunite once again in this exciting prequel to their hit story Love Me: A Romance Story.

Let's kick off 2026 with my interview with creator Nick Cagnetti, co-writer and artist for the upcoming heartfelt superhero/horror hit Spirit of the Shadows!
Nick is probably best known for his work on Pink Lemonade and XINO, and it's important to note that this is his first full-length artwork since the aforementioned Pink Lemonade. Here's how Spirit of the Shadows is described: "Once, Erik Leroux was a mortal musician, selflessly devoted to his music and his true love, Katrina . . . until his sudden death plunged his soul into the carnival-like torments of the Spirit World beyond our own. Now, reborn as a phantom with fleeting memories of his life among the living, and forever cursed to bear the arcane costume his corpse wore to the grave, Erik will claw his way back from the infernal planes to uncover the mysteries of his own life . . . and avenge the dark sins that transformed him into the SPIRIT OF THE SHADOWS!" We discuss how this comic miniseries came to be and who the characters are, also explore Nick's comics career, and talk about what he has coming our way in 2026! Be sure to listen to this debut episode for the new year!

The holidays are a great time for family and friends. In Episode 724, it's the return of a great friend of the show, Tom Marvelli from Another Door Comics, who talks about his new book Apparition, which is followed by my yearly holiday tradition!
"Scary ghost stories" are a staple for this season, so Tom and I talk about his new series that takes place in the world of The Boy in the Bot. Apparition is described this way: "Two men from opposite worlds, one seeking redemption, the other searching for answers, find themselves trapped in a single body and hunted by a force eager to claim them both. Now Michael must guide Thomas toward salvation while battling his own demons… before a greater evil consumes them. One body. Two souls. A battle for redemption and survival." We discuss how this book came to be, get an update on Another Door Comics, and explore what Tom will be up to in 2026. Be sure to support his current Kickstarter for this project at this link!
Then everything wraps up with my annual holiday tradition, playing the audio from 'Twas the Dark Knight Before Christmas! You can see the video at this link!
