  • What Really Defines You

We are nearing the end of February and with it our study on attitude. During January and February we have examined how attitude extends from the choices that we make. Looking back to the quotes of Ghandi where choices, values and attitude become your destiny and Roy T Bennet stating that what ever you choose becomes you, and to choose wisely.

Today's quote by George Bernard Shaw offers a short and sweet summary to take forward from this study of attitude.

  • Experience the Sum of Your Day

We left Friday with a really positive point of view about celebrating our differentness, our uniqueness. Understanding that we have something to offer the world that only we can bring to it.

Today's quote continues with an extension of how to go through a life that is sharing the joy that you have to offer. It states.

“Happiness is a state of mind, a choice, a way of living; it is not something to be achieved, it is something to be experienced.” ― Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience

  • Spread Your Unique Joy Today

“If you celebrate your differentness, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it—through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated.” ― Victoria Moran, Lit From Within: Tending Your Soul For Lifelong Beauty

Imagine for a moment the kind world we could have if we choose to spread the wonder and joy we are capable of instead of hiding it behind fear of being different.

  • Your Attitude Always Leads...

Today's quote from Kahlil Gibran continues to display the importance of how we percieve ourselves and the impact that has on our attitude. It says:

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.

  • What Do You Answer To?

This week has examined the perspectives we have of ourselves compared to outside influences. A lot of pressure can be exerted on our mental state as a result of allowing unnatural perspectives to influence our self perception.

Today's quote by Lucille Clifton sums this up in a brief and simple statement to help you remember this.

  • The Concept of Bravery

“There are so many ways to be brave in this world. Sometimes bravery involves laying down your life for something bigger than yourself, or for someone else. Sometimes it involves giving up everything you have ever known, or everyone you have ever loved, for the sake of something greater. But sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it is nothing more than gritting your teeth through pain, and the work of every day, the slow walk toward a better life. That is the sort of bravery I must have now.” ― Veronica Roth, Allegiant
