Peter wrote a letter to several churches located in modern-day Turkey. They were an eclectic group with a common faith and a common suffering. Peter believes the grace of God will enable them to stand firm in the midst of suffering. He would know. That grace of God radically transformed him. One word has been used more than any other to describe this great letter to the church - hope. And all people, in all places, at all times, need hope.
