Sally Gower, owner of Eat Well Buffalo (http://www.eatwellbuffalo.com/) believes if you eat well you will be well. I could not agree more! That is why I truly enjoyed my conversation with Sally and can’t wait to share it with you because it is packed full of valuable information!

    * Being the manager of your own health. * How being proactive with small changes can drastically improve your health. * “If you eat well, you will be well”. * The foods that should be on your plate at every meal. * Which types of fruits you should buy organic and which ones you don’t have to. * Ways to save money on healthy foods. * A huge benefit of buying fruits and vegetables locally. * How to get kids to WANT to eat healthy foods. * Planning healthy eating in one hour or less per week. * Keeping animals out of your vegetable garden!

Sally, the mastermind behind Eat Well Buffalo has journeyed from a career in the pharmaceutical industry to publishing Buffalo Natural Awakenings, always truly believing food can be very powerful and life-changing. She received a Bachelor of Science and a Master in Business Administration with a focus in marketing from the University at Buffalo. She attended the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to earn her certified health coach title. She is completing the coursework through Cornell and will receive her plant-based nutrition certification. In addition, she attended the Culinary Intensive Workshop through the prestigious Conscious Gourmet Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sally has always been a firm believer that we need to take responsibility for our own health as well as being positive contributor to our WNY community. Our emphasis and direction should be on the prevention of disease and taking those steps to eat healthy (plant-based, whole foods as much as possible), incorporating exercise into our daily lives, practicing mindfulness and meditation, as well as being committed to recycling.... ---------------

Being born a middle child in Buffalo, New York in the 1950s was for the most part pretty good, but it did have a downside. Growing up between an older sister, Sue, and a younger brother, Russ, I felt I always had to prove myself and make my presence known. It seems I was always trying to raise my hand and say look at me, remember me, I’m here too. Typical middle child.

Our family was like a tribe of nomads. Always moving as my Dad searched for the perfect job and a good life. Buffalo, Miami, Arizona, Buffalo, Hollywood (Florida), Buffalo. Houses, duplexes, rentals, and grandparent’s home. See a pattern? In the 1960’s we finally settled in the Town of Tonawanda. I remember a life that was uncomplicated, fun and easy. Filled with summers of singing songs by Petula Clark, Rolling Stones, and Beatles, afternoons at town swimming pools, bike rides, and camping trips in our family trailer. My working life started at about this time. My grandfather owned a dry cleaning business and we had huge rolls of plastic bags that my siblings and I would divide into sellable units and go selling door to door to make money. I also began babysitting and became hooked on having my own money. At the age of fifteen, my first “real” job was at a short-order restaurant where I took the orders, cooked the food, served it, cleaned up and then was forced to hide my tips in my shoes because of course, I was already getting paid enough ($1.50/hour).

And then the 1970s came along with my high school years at Sweet Home High School. I graduated in 1972 with 432 other kids in my class and I think I knew them all. I was a “good” kid, always involved in student council or some other leadership role, drank occasionally, but would never smoke cigarettes or pot (only the “hoods” did that). I also graduated without having any idea of what I wanted to do.

That changed a bit when I went away to college at Edinboro in Pennsylvania. Getting elected as President of the freshman class, President of my dorm, and pledging to become a Delta Zeta all made my freshman year pretty great...

    About the World Wide Webers
My name is Erica, and I’m the ring leader of this traveling circus, but if the cops ask I’ve never seen these people in my life #scoutshonor. I’m just a girl from Washington, D.C. who fell in love with a Florida boy on an epic Sunday Funday.

In what feels like a blink of a severely jetlagged eye, I became a mom of two miniature schnauzers, a “sassy” globetrotting girl (note the quotation marks) and a larger than life boy (unlike in a vehicle, the child in the picture is as large as it appears). We now live our lives parenting on the fly, traveling the world as part-time global citizens, and remaining always true to our lifelong passion of being full-time pooper scoopers.

To date, we’ve lived in 5 countries (#expatlife), visited 6 continents (you can’t escape me Antarctica!), experienced more cities and countries than I even knew existed when I was little (thanks to public primary school) and eaten my weight in amazing food (diet starts tomorrow?).

When people ask “Why have you been to over 60 countries with your kids?” or “Why do you move around more than Harrison Ford in The Fugitive?” my response is always “WHY NOT?!”

Welcome to The Worldwide Webers, I hope you find the information to be similar to me, a mix of mildly entertaining and sometimes useful.

      About Hannah Keeley
Hey there! I’m Hannah Keeley, a mom of eight (7 by birth), a wife of one, and a lover of Jesus. I believe there is God-given greatness in everyone. And I have an insatiable desire to help them discover this and let the world see who they really are.
Oh, and I’m crazy about helping moms.
Because I know what it’s like.
After a few kids, I found myself out of shape, overwhelmed, deep in debt, and surrounded by clutter. I knew something had to change when I found myself sobbing uncontrollably in the laundry pile (at least it was clean laundry). When I realized no one was going to come in and rescue me, I decided to rescue myself. With God’s Word and bull-headed determination, I was able to create a better life for myself. In fact, better than I ever imagined.
Now I help moms everywhere do the same.
I am so grateful for all the exposure I have received—from the Today show, Rachael Ray, Fox and Friends, the Wall Street Journal—it’s crazy, really. Once, I thought I was just a mom. Now I realize that is the best career in the world. Who knew, a southern girl who was stuck in special education classes could do such things? I guess it’s obvious that God specializes in doing the impossible!
My desire to help moms has led to an entire empire of serving others—from my reality series, “Hannah, Help Me!” where I help overwhelmed moms with my innovative techniques, to my online academy, Mom Mastery University, where moms are getting the coaching they need to create the lives they deserve—lives that are blessed like crazy.
      * In the podcast, Hannah mentions her "Short Attention Span Bible Study". Here is the link.
