Happy Halloween you drunk fools! On a particularly spooky episode of Making A Martini, we take a look at some of the history of Halloween. And I say some, because there is literally so much, so I had to cut it down. But guest star Brianna Woods and I are talking origins of trick or treating, costumes, jack-o-lanterns, and more. Then we talk some of our favorite Halloween traditions, favorite movies, favorite candy, etc. The themed cocktail of this episode is the Candy Corn Martini.
Candy Corn Martini
6oz Cake Vodka
1/4 cup Candy Corn
3/4 cup Pineapple Juice
3/4 cup heavy cream
Halloween sprinkles
Corn Syrup
Combine vodka and candy corn in jar and let sit for six hours. Afterwards, create rim for martini glass with corn syrup and halloween sprinkles. Strain vodka, and the recipe says to get rid of the candy corn...I say do what you want with it (eat it). Pour vodka into two separate martini glasses evenly. Then, layer the pineapple juice on top, pouring over a spoon. Then layer the heavy cream in the same way.
Alternate: Mix vodka, pineapple juice, and heavy cream together in a shaker, if you don't feel like layering, because its f**king hard.
