Making Creativity Pay

In this episode I spoke to Comedian and Podcaster Stuart Goldsmith.  We discuss how he got started in podcasting almost a decade ago, his thoughts on different business models such as donations, subscriptions and advertisements as well as being a 'solopreneur' and how his comedy and podcast selves interact.

You can find Stuart at Comedian's Comedian.com on Twitter @comcompod and numerous other places.

Final track is by Semisonic and is featured on the Song Exploder podcast.

The Anchoress creates both music and podcasts. You can also find her on Bandcamp

Laura Kidd AKA Penfriend is both a musician and podcaster and also has a range of videos on her YouTube Channel

As first heard about on Comedian's Comedian podcast with James Acaster

This track by BENEE seemed to be everywhere in early 2020, the Switched on Pop episode with her is great doing in to detail about the song and how it went viral.

Shoutout here to both Sodajerker and Stay F. Homekins as both have brought this song to my attention after I'd not thought about it for a decade!

Punch up the Jam was a podcast that was a real fun listen but also has a bit of music theory in there too.  The song I'm linking to it is Night Shift by Lucy Dacus

Intro to a track from Desert Island Discs, a show that has spawned a million podcasts.  This tracks is one of those chosen on the episode with Louis Theroux
