  • Episode 74: Following Your Intuition Even If You Don’t Know How, With Sara Walka
Loving all things witchy, enchanted and fantastical, Sara Walka didn’t always “fit in” as a kid. She says she was told she was “wise beyond her years” and while that felt right, after a while it also felt like she didn’t belong.

Gradually pulling away from all she knew, to do instead what she though she “should” do, led her to an meltdown.

Sara shares in this episode how she took that meltdown, and a seemingly “wobbly” career path – from selling candy and being on the road, to grad school and teaching, to advocating for children with special needs – into everything that she now does. Showing up as her full, magical self now, and supporting thousands of other women to lean into their intuition, conjure joy and make everyday magic through her business, The Sisters Enchanted.

We could all do with a little more magic in our lives, and Sara’s here to inspire you to find more of yours.

    We talk about:

    * not fitting in as a kid and feeling like you don’t belong
    * how Sara’s “meltdown” reconnected her to her knowing
    * the things we do to feel accepted
    * finding the clarity moments to know what to do next
    * how we all have an inner knowing, and what to do to listen to yours

    And so much more!

  • Episode 73: Getting To Know Your Desires And What Blocks You Feeling Good
How much time do you spend considering what it is you actually want in your life?

Chances are that even if you do ponder this at times, you tend to block yourself from “going too far”. In this episode I invite you to get curious and explore:

    * what it is you most desire, and how often you really consider this
    * blocks to feeling good and how to start to remove them
    * considering you feeling good as a powerful way to charge your energy and clarity in your life

All so you can strengthen your feel-good muscles. And if you want to take this even deeper into your life, come join my free 5 Day Feel Good Challenge is open and the next round starts 7 Sep 2020. Sign up at www.thedaisypatch.co.uk/feelgoodchallenge.

  • Episode 72: Mastering Your Relationship With Yourself, With Julie Johnson
At 5 years old she’d made a clear decision as to what she wanted to be when she grew up. And, she did it! Working her butt off for 20 years as a veterinarian, Julie Johnson had essentially created her ‘dream life’. She’d travelled, met her husband, and was doing work she loved.

Yet she was working 60-80 hour weeks, with a growing family and competing priorities. There came a point where she knew her lifestyle needed to change. She says the decision was easy, when she was asked her self one simple question (you’ll have to tune in to find out what it was! 😉).

Having created a deeper relationship with herself, Julie realised her love of her career was actually much more to do with the people, and knowing this gave her the fuel to create the lifestyle she now leads—integrating her priorities of health, family and people.

Julie is a Leadership and Performance Coach, specialising in the Agricultural industry where she supports leaders to magnetise their success through a whole system lens, centred on people.

On this episode we talk about:
    * career choices when you love what you do but know things need to change
    * navigating the pendulum of decisions around work, home, and motherhood and how to not get caught up in guilt
    * becoming more present with where you are right now
    * why Julie believes investing in yourself is a top priority
    * how her most painful lessons have actually given her more appreciation for life

  • Episode 71: Going Deep To Get To Know Yourself Fully
How’s your “small talk” game? For many years I’d go about new conversations in a way that I thought I “should”. I’d make polite chit chat about the weather and make sure I was inquiring in to everything about the other person – even if it wasn’t of interest, felt negative, or frankly, was boring to me!

I’d walk away from those moments feeling exhausted, like someone had zapped my energy, and kept wondering why. Over time I’ve realised that part of the reason is because I’m a deep person. I thrive on deep conversations and want to have that level of connection in my life.

How well do you know yourself? And if you’re depleted from certain activities or experiences in your life, could it be that you’re not getting to the depth of what lights you up most?

Today in this “conversation starter” episode you’ll explore how to have conversations with yourself, continue to unlayer all your truths, and get real with yourself. 😉 I touch on:

    * how to cultivate connection (with yourself and others)
    * exploring your energy and what feels good to you, and
    * owning your truth.

  • Episode 70: Quit Hiding From Your Joy And Appreciating Life’s Micro Moments, With Tamu Thomas
When you’re so busy being strong and achieving, the richness of life that comes from the ordinary moments can slip by unnoticed. For Tamu Thomas, that busyness turned into increasing anxiety and panic attacks, leading her to realise she was living her life “upside down”, always putting herself last.

Having come from 15 years in social work, she was knowledgeable enough to know things had to change – but how she went about it was not as you might expect.

Tamu is now a trauma-informed somatic and holistic life coach, specialising in supporting women approaching their 40s and beyond to transition into their midlife feeling safe, calm and peaceful.

In this episode of the podcast, Tamu shares deeply about the lessons she’s learned, from experiences as a child, through to her adult career and transition to her business, Three Sixty.

    We talk about:
    * the shift she felt when she took time to slow down and focus on her everyday joys
    * why we’re so used to feeling fear and how to welcome in more joy
    * why Tamu chose to educate herself and listen to her body, instead of the prescribed talking therapy approach
    * how her experience of grief helped her expand her capacity for joy, and why tending to and befriending your feelings is so important

  • Episode 69: Adjusting To New And Finding Your Way
I tried something new this week. And I noticed how wobbly I was! We hired long-term bicycles and took them for a spin. And instead of feeling elated and excited, I noticed how I was a little nervous and literally wobbly.

In this week’s conversation starter we’re talking about finding your way in a new environment—in a way that feels good, and is as unique as you are!

New things can feel hard at first. But that doesn’t mean they’re not good for us. Nor does it mean they won’t get easier over time.

If things are feeling all new right now and you’re a little lost (or wobbly) – now’s the time to check in with yourself and adjust the structures you have in place to support YOU.

  • Episode 68: Being Your Own Best Advocate With Amparo Soto
Choosing to be joyful is not always the easy choice. In fact at times leading with joy can feel in complete contrast to the junction you’re at in life. Whether you’re faced with challenges to your health, or relationship decisions, or even an ongoing stressful period at work – how you show up for yourself makes all the difference to the results you will see.

Paediatric Occupational Therapist, mama to two and all round joyful being, Amparo Soto, shares some of the ways she chooses to keep showing up for herself in today’s episode.

She’s chosen to see the world in a positive light and its served her well. We met after she followed her gut and “we’ll figure it out” mindset to Japan to teach English for a year, which ultimately supported her to discover a career that is perfect for her (even though she didn’t really know what it was or that it existed). This mindset has continue to support her through her since her son’s in utero diagnosis of congenital heart defects and subsequent multiple surgeries. She says it’s her family, her deep love, and her new love of running 😉 that elevates her even on her toughest days, to feel happy.

Here’s some of what we talk about:

*having a “give it a go” mindset based on how things feel
*creating a strong support system, family and love
*daily appreciation of what you have
*trusting in the lessons you learn along the way
*finding your own outlets to be alone and recharge
*finding a profession that feels like play

  • Episode 67: Freedom From Busy – It’s Not Just About Your Workload
When we talk about being busy we tend to rattle off everything we have on our “plates”. From working late and deadlines looming through to keeping up with the housework, social schedules and exercise routines. Much of what we think of when we think “busy” is schedule related. How “full” our diaries are = how “busy” we feel. Yet what if there was a whole other side to busy that we weren’t addressing? And by not accounting for it, we could keep chasing freedom from busy without every really untangling ourselves? In today’s conversation starter I’m asking you to consider busy as a state of mind, rather than a state of your diary and over-commitments. How “busy” your mind is has a big impact on how you feel. Let’s see how we can turn more attention to strategies that release us from overthinking, just as much as we look to strategies for over-doing.

  • Episode 66: From Perfectionism To The Joy Of Slowing Down, With Gaelle Berruel
Pressure and perfectionism tend to go hand in hand. Often the pressure builds up over time, meaning you don’t even realise how closely tied the relationship is. If you’d told our guest Gaelle Berruel she was a perfectionist, she wouldn’t have believed you. 😉 However a cocktail of becoming a mother, realising she had everything she wanted, and a performance review with unexpected feedback all led to her unravelling from busy.

As you’ll hear in this episode it was all for the best too! Her joyful energy is magnetic and she now thrives in her day job in the banking industry, where she’s been for 10 years, whilst also building her wellness consultancy.

She says when she got the taste of slowing down, she loved it instantly, and while it’s still a dance at times with running all the aspects of her life, she now knows how to spot when “it’s happening” and give herself grace. We talk about everything from the performance race through to creating your own bubble of happiness and “taking pleasure in doing in nothing”.

    We cover:

*Slowing down and still being highly ambitious
    *Getting curious about what next
*Looking at your life as an observer
*Being willing to “dip your toe” into a new way of being
*Having strength and conviction that life is happening for you
*And the French philosophy of taking time to do things, and choosing quality not quantity

  • Episode 65: You’re Destined For More, Here’s How To Step It Up
What if everything you’ve been craving to create in your life was so much closer than you think? It’s just that you’re choosing to play smaller than you deserve to be?

Time and time again the women I meet tell me what the change they’re craving in their lives. They want to stop feeling so busy and torn between multiple demands. They want to feel deep relief and enjoy their lives more. And, they have big dreams and vision, but they’re holding themselves back.

I immediately see their strength. Their beauty. Their creativity. But there’s something in the way. If you know you are destined for more in your life – more joy, more creativity, more love, more presence, more time on the couch to watch Netflix, whatever it is for you! 😉 – this episode is for you. I’m sharing ways for you to acknowledge your own inner strength and how to continue to step up fully for yourself.
