  • Episode 64: Permission To Want What You Want With Denise Duffield-Thomas
Whether you’re in a job you feel restless in, or daydreaming about the beach house you want to live in – if you want a shortcut to creating your life the way you want it, this episode is for you.

Denise Duffield Thomas (@denisedt) wasn’t always “rich”. When she spent almost a decade living in London, she didn’t even own a winter coat. She has plenty of stories of starting businesses as a kid, from making bracelets to selling manure and leading the Cool Kids Club (inspired by The Babysitters Club). And while not all of these ventures “worked out” they planted the seeds for dreams she’s continued to bring to life since.

Denise is now the money mentor for the new wave of online entrepreneurs who want to make money and change the world. She helps women charge premium prices, release the fear of money and create First Class lives. Her books and Money Bootcamp have helped thousands of women globally to reclaim their dreams and live abundantly.

And she takes a very “chilled” approach to doing so as you’ll take away from this episode. Full of anecdotes that’ll shift you out of self-doubt mode, Denise shares insights for bringing your dreams to life and the incremental changes you can make right now to actually feel good in your life.

    We talk about:

    * what Denise used to carry around with her to fuel her dreams when she was stuck in jobs she didn’t like

    * what you can tell yourself to get out of your stuck mindset and feel free

    * what birthday cakes have to do with your dreams, and why you should be talking about them out loud

    * easing your stress the easy way (it has something to do with bumbags aka fanny packs)

    * the little things you can start doing now to make big progress

Plus – Denise shares her next big dream right at the end, and it’s one of my favourites!

This episode is about wholeheartedly claiming your dreams and giving yourself permission to go after them. Denise and I can’t wait to hear all about your secret dreams. Be sure to tag @denisedt and me @thedaisypatchcoaching and let us know over on Instagram.

  • Episode 63: Dropping Your Joy Guilt
It’s easy to feel joyful on your most stressfree days. To “choose” to do something that feels good. But what about those challenging days? Or when your best friend is going through a really tough time? Is it okay to still choose joy?

Too often the moment we start to feel good about ourselves, or our lives, an inner resistance shows up. A “guilt” for our joy.

Your joy is your birthright. It’s there to be your foundation. Your strength and your pathway. The more you choose it, the more it overflows to those around you too. In today’s conversation starter you’ll hear 5 reasons why you should drop your joy guilt immediately.

  • Episode 62: Rid Yourself Of Worry And Claim Your Worth With Susie Moore
If you tend to get caught up in overthinking and worrying what you “should” or shouldn’t do, today’s episode is a must for you.

Having shuffled around shelter homes, moved to the other side of the world at age 18, divorced a few years later, and moved again to a foreign country with no qualifications, it could be easy to question how Susie Moore has kept her inherent positivity and joyful attitude to life.

Susie is a former sales director and adviser for start-ups in Silicon Valley, now a life coach and advice columnist for some of the world’s biggest media outlets. Her work has been featured in many prominent and well respected places from Oprah through to the Today Show and Time Inc.

Yet it was her down to earth and poignant commentary in a webinar that reeled me in and why I rushed to buy her latest book, Stop Checking Your Likes, and wanted her on the show.

She’s been obsessed with mastering the “confidence game” as she puts it, since she was a kid and its her mission to help more and more people live an approval free life.

I crammed in a lot of questions in this conversation because I really wanted you to hear her “can’t argue with that” insights for, as Susie puts I, straight up loving your life.

    We talk about:
    · Susie’s childhood desire to bring the joy and how she realised it’s the only way
    · the laziness of cynicism, and how happiness is a such a success attractor
    · why we need more willingness to be uncomfortable
    · an instant short-circuit for self-doubt and worry about what others think of you (it’s my favourite part of Susie’s book!)
    · why trying to be anything but ourselves is exhausting (and how to stop holding back)
    · the relationship between pleasure and worthiness

Just try to walk away from this episode without a spring in your step.

  • Episode 61: How To Keep Showing Up As Yourself

Monday episodes are designed to get you out of your head and feeling in a whole new way. I share insights and self-inquiry tips that’ll shift your focus for the week, and accelerate your joy.

In today’s conversation starter I share examples of some of my biggest breakthroughs happening when I’ve relaxed into being more myself. From being more light-hearted in new jobs, to friendships that deepened quickly when I started from a place of showing up as me. This episode will give you a new way to strengthen your confidence, and create more ease and clarity in your life.

  • Episode 60: How To Master Planning When You Can't Really Make Plans
There is a lot that is uncertain in the world right now (and, always).

Trying to “handle it all” is exhausting and futile. We tell ourselves if we can just read that extra book this week or check in with that friend or read more of the news or focus on that deadline at work, then everything will feel better.

What we’re really saying to ourselves is that we want our control back.

And the issue with focusing on all the things we have to “handle” first, is that we only ever end up with a temporary fix. Because, there’s always more news, more phone calls, more books, more deadlines.

The tool I’ve relied on for decades to bring me back to a place of certainty, no matter how uncertain my life has felt is, planning.

    And not just any planning.

    My approach is unconventional.

In today’s episode I’m sharing 3 of the main pillars I use to take myself through a mid-year review and planning process. It’s what I use to fuel my dreams, and create more joy and ease in my life consistently.

If you’ve been worrying how you’re going to make plans amidst all the global uncertainty right now, then you need a new system, and this episode will give you the inspiration you need. 😉

  • Episode 59: Being Human, Discomfort As A Necessity And Living Brave With Dr Rebecca Ray
Today’s guest will draw you in with her magnetic laugh and ability to make hard things sound fun. 😉 Dr Rebecca Ray is a writer, speaker, clinical psychologist, and – most importantly – human. While she’s written multiple books, grown an incredible Instagram community and created digital courses on overcoming self-sabotage, and radical courage, she says being human always comes first. Rebecca can be found online daily, interacting with her community about finding courage and living expansive lives while going gently on ourselves.

In this conversation we talk about discomfort (and why it’s necessary for anything that’s important in your life), talking to your fearful and courageous selves, having a sustainable approach to “busy” and the power of joy as a stabilising mechanism. Rebecca is a natural story-teller and this episode is full of laughs, humanness, and practical ways for you to live bravely and meaningfully.

  • Episode 58: Why You Should Take Time To Plan Right Now Despite All This Uncertainty
Usually at this time of year I do a mid-year review. It’s one of my favourite things to do! A mini stocktake of how things are going so far and reignition of what I most want to create in my life.

So often we’re busy chasing that we forget to integrate.

While I’ll most definitely still be doing the review, it feels like this year I have been feeling like I needed a few more weeks to marinate. To let even more bubble to the surface. What matters most? What’s working? What’s not?

I’ll be paying even closer attention to the feelings invoked when I answer those questions for myself. (Like the ones I felt the moment I read those three words).

I’m not sure if I’m ready to fully emerge from my cocoon yet. I do know when I am, I’ll be clearer than ever before of where I most want my time and energy to go.

Communities, places, people, conversations, solitude, moments that invoke deep gratitude, love and yearning. That’s where I'll be going.

Where will you be when you emerge? In today’s episode I share why sitting with some of the uncertainty is actually part of the planning and creative process.

And, if you’re looking for more clarity to start emerging and getting clear on “what next” come join me for my Mid Year Review Masterclass. Join my email list to tbe the first to know when registration opens: www.thedaisypatch.co.uk/weekly.

  • Episode 57: Jumping In, Believing In Yourself And Always Always Dreaming With Noriko Kusano
I have so much to say about this episode that I’m left kinda stumped as to where to start.

The woman I’m about to introduce you to is special for many many reasons. I’ve witnessed her transformation and dedicated commitment to her dreams for twenty years now, and yet there’s something even more magical happening right now.

The more she has “jumped in” the more of her light you see.

Noriko Clarke left Japan at the young age of 15 years old, to study abroad in Australia and well, never returned. A mama to two gorgeous girls, fashion and graphic designer, and expat mother’s coach—she really is seemingly “doing it all” now. She’s more passionate than ever before about her dream to support women, who like her may have never really considered how to integrate the challenges and joys of raising a bilingual and bicultural family, whilst navigating the internal dialogues of am I doing this right?

For a while there, she felt like she had lost herself. Noriko shares in this conversation from a vulnerable place – we go deep, quickly. We’ve known each other for so long, it’s hard not to. And what I love so much is that this was a whole new experience for her, something she’s never done before and yet she jumped straight in. A theme we talk lots about throughout the episode—about how having that strong dream has fuelled her no matter what, how her beliefs of figuring it out and never stopping learning have kept her sane and energised despite periods of immense challenge (learning a new language, motherhood and losing her father), and why one of the most transformative lessons came when she decided she needed more time for herself.

Please show her some love and tag her @norikoclarkeofficial on social or leave a review on any podcast listening app to let her know what it means to you to hear her story.

  • Episode 56: Overthinking And Getting Unstuck
Do you ever find yourself in a loop of the same thinking? You keep asking yourself the same questions over and over again, but can’t seem to come up with any new answers?

And then you’re stuck, for days, weeks even, feeling frustrated with yourself.

Or, there’s a big decision to make in your life and you can’t seem to do anything about it. Instead you stay stuck in overthinking mode, believing it will eventually lead the way.

This is a conversation we had recently in my Joy Club. Overthinking. How it gets us stuck, frustrated and forgetting about the importance of our dreams and feeling good.

This episode will help you stop the gnawing feeling in your belly, all that procrastination, and even give you back your control.

I share how overthinking can show up more during times of change and uncertainty, and how to handle these periods of transition in a more sustainable (and joyful) way. Specifically I give 4 tips on getting out of that state quickly and creating easy momentum.
