We always hear of fathers taking a step back  and leaving most of the parental responsibility to the mother, especially in a broken relationship, but rarely do we hear of mother making the same choice. In this story, Cynthia shares on how she had to make a tough choice of leaving her son with his father for almost a year, as she worked on making herself mentally, financially and emotionally stable to be able to raise her son on her own.

As you can imagine, this wasn't a popular decision and she faced  pushback from everyone around her, especially her son's father.

Her story is eye opening,  and shares the importance of sharing parental responsibility equally between both parents.

Jane always wanted to become a mother. She wanted to become a mother so bad that she visited many doctors to make sure that all was right for her to conceive. Why was this important for her? Well, she knew motherhood wasn't a guarantee, but her biggest driving force was so that she can show that a mother doesn't have to be brutal, like the mother she grew up with.
