Bridget sits down with Dr. Marguerite Duane, a board certified family physician and co-founder and Executive Director of FACTS. She is trained as a Creighton, FEMM and NeoFertility Medical consultant, as well as a TeenSTAR educator. Dr. Duane recently completed a research fellowship in women’s health at the University of Utah and also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Georgetown University. Dr. Duane and Bridget discuss the challenges in the medical field with lack of education and awareness for women's bodies, how this impacts women's experiences with providers, what the research shows us about the benefits of tracking cycles and the importance of informed consent, the importance of reproductive justice, and the need for access to information in order to achieve informed consent. This conversation is not religiously affiliated or specific to a certain "type" of woman. This episode is for EVERY WOMAN! Don't miss it!
