Are you currently in the beginning stages with someone? Are you seeing what I call "orange flags"? These are indicators that something is off but you aren't ready to flat out call them "red flags". It's time to reevaluate who it is you're dating. Why you continue to allow half-ass people in your life. And realize that YOU DESERVE MORE. It's okay to ask for more and it's okay to break up with someone when they can't or REFUSE to meet your needs. It doesn't make you a bad person - it just simply means the relationship doesn't serve you. We shouldn't have to ask over and over again for our needs to be met. So, let's chat & get to the root of it.

My friend Tosha and her twin sister Taryn discuss what it was like to lose their mom. Instead of partying like average college students - they were thrown into taking care of their sick parent. Doing the best they possibly could - while also coping in very different ways. Tosha developed an eating disorder and turned to alcohol. While Taryn had more supportive people around her and tried to cope in healthy ways. Listen as they recount finding out their mother’s sickness, the emotional rollercoaster of her last years on Earth, and what it is truly like to be without a parent. We cried and laughed - it is not all sad - but this is the reality.
***Please check in with yourself if you have lost a parent before listening to this episode.
Also, I am giving you the biggest hug if you have lost someone close to you or if you are taking care of someone currently.
Love you, mean it.

I started a Manic & Medicated bookclub and I want to discuss some of the books I’ve read lately. If you want to skip past the books talked about go to (11:33) timestamp in the episode. Send me a DM of your thoughts/book recommendations for the next book!
Books Read:
The Silent Patient https://www.amazon.com/Silent-Patient-Alex-Michaelides/dp/1250301696
Verity https://www.amazon.com/Verity-Colleen-Hoover/dp/1791392792
My sick obsession with The Vampire Dairies has escalated but I have a bone to pick with the writers. Wouldn’t you do MORE as a vampire? I think so. Also, I’m going head first into a mental and wellness challenge and I’m fucking terrified. If you want to join in on it send me a DM on Instagram. Otherwise you can catch up with me on Youtube and Instagram for daily updates on that!

Hi - I am writing a book and I am really fucking excited about it. I will be explaining the beginning stages of my writing process - but I will not be giving too much away because I actually want people to read it. I am also coming to the conclusion that our parents are not superhero's and they are just human beings who deserve empathy. Healing as an adult requires us to heal our inner child and really figure out where that hurt started. I challenge you to do better for you and to give other people grace and empathy - but also take no shit.
Love you, mean it.
Enjoy.

I'm sharing why I was so codependent and how I can now stand on my own two feet. Being single isn't a death sentence and being in a relationship doesn't make you happier than anyone else. We're all learning and growing until the day we die. So let's fuck shit up and really do the things we love and not the things we settled for. Also, I think everyone is a little gay - I don't care what you say.
Enjoy.
