Vs 1-2 You never quit working in God’s kingdom until He says, ‘Come home, it’s quitting time.’

Vs 3-4 When you say ‘yes’ to following God, you must say ‘no’ to everything that hinders you from following Him.

Vs 5-8 God’s power is always available to His people when they are doing His work.

Vs 9-11 Whatever you ask God for, always ask for Him first.

Vs 12-14 God’s servants will pass away, but God’s work prevails, because it depends on His Spirit, not His servants.

Vs 15-18 No one has a monopoly on the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit wants to have a monopoly on us.

19:1-7 Spiritual leaders prioritize teaching people God’s word, and helping them do what it says.

20:1-12 When you have a problem, pray; when you pray, declare Who God is, remember God’s faithfulness in the past, and depend on God’s promises for the future.

Vs 14-18 When you surrender yourself to God, your problems are His, and so are the solutions.

Vs 21-26 God delights to show Himself strong to those who follow Him with all their heart.

Vs 27-30 God gives peace to His people, even in the middle of conflict and crisis.

Vs 33-37 Compromising with evil is always evil, no matter how good your objective is.

Vs 1-4 Prayerfully and carefully count the cost before making a commitment, or you may end up owing more than you can pay.

Vs 5-8 Make decisions based on what is true, (God’s point of view), not based on what you want to be true, (Human point of view).

Vs 13-18 Don’t ask God a question if you’re not willing to accept HIs answer.

Vs 19-28 God works all things together, including human choices, to accomplish His perfect purposes.

Vs 29-33 God is gracious and often rescues us from our foolish choices.

Vs 34-38 God’s plans always prevail, despite human efforts to prevent them.

Vs 1-4 When you covet, you are craving what God has given to someone else, because you are not content with God, or His gifts to you.

Vs 5-7 Since God owns everything, those who steal are ultimately stealing from God.

Vs 8-15 If it is evil in God’s eyes, it’s evil; even if it’s legal in man’s eyes.

Vs 16-19 No one ‘gets away with’ anything; everyone is accountable to God.

Vs 20-22 God’s punishment for sin is perfectly proportional to the severity of the sin.

Vs 23-29 God delights to show mercy when sinners humble themselves before Him.

Vs 1-4 Discouragement and depression can distort our perception of what is true.

Vs 5-8 God knows what we need, and He gives us exactly what we need, when we need it.

Vs 9-10 God never accepts our excuses for sin, but He welcomes our confession and repentance.

Vs 11-14 God wants His people to hear His voice and then follow HIm.

Vs 15-18 When we return to God, He restores and re-commissions us for the work He still has for us to do.

Vs 19-21 Following God means leaving your old life behind.

Vs 1-19 Sinners often refuse to take responsibility for the trouble their own sin creates.

Vs 20-24 No one is neutral towards God; everyone either submits to Him, or rebels against Him.

Vs 25-29 Idolatry is irrational; humans created by God who refuse to worship their Creator, end up worshipping false gods which do not exist.

Vs 30-35 The altar of sacrifice is the place where Holy God meets with sinful people.

Vs 36-40 God intervenes in human history to reveal Who He is, and to draw people into a relationship with Himself.

Vs 41-46 When God’s people repent from their sins, God delights in answering their prayers and blessing them.

1 Kings 16:29-33 - God’s assessment of your life is the only one that matters, and it matters for all eternity.

17: 1-4 - God loves His people so much that He may impose drastic consequences when they sin.

Vs 5-9 - Sometimes what we really need is only revealed when God removes everything we don’t need.

Vs 10-12 - God often guides and provides for His people in unexpected ways.

Vs 13-16 - Faith believes God’s promises enough to act on them before seeing results.

Vs 17-24 - God’s grace not only supplies our needs in this life; God also provides eternal life for those who trust Him.

14:1-5 - Loving God involves eradicating evil and establishing righteousness.

Vs 6-7 - Preparation is prudent, because the future is unpredictable.

Vs 8-12 - When you pray, ask God to honor Himself, regardless of how He chooses to answer your prayers.

15: 1-8 - God is intimate with those who seek Him above all else.

Vs 10-19 - A loving and faithful relationship with God produces joy and peace.

16:1-3 - Don’t rely on God’s enemies to accomplish your goals.

Vs 7-12 - God’s supernatural power is only available to those who rely on Him, and not themselves.

12:26-27 - Rejecting God’s promises leads to fear, which tempts us to depend on our own plans.

Vs 28-33 - Sinful people want a religion that is convenient, comfortable, cheap, and that does not convict them of sin.

13: 1-3 - God graciously warns people to stop sinning, before He judges them for refusing to stop.

Vs 4-6 - When God intervenes in your life, be sure you learn the lessons He is teaching.

Vs 7-10 - Refuse to compromise with evil, even when compromise is rewarded.

Vs 14-19 - Do not let anyone deceive you into disobeying God, even God’s people.

14:7-10 - Rejecting God and refusing to repent always leads to destruction and death.

Vs 1-5 - Take time to think, plan, and pray before making important decisions.

Vs 6-7 - Godly leaders are not celebrities, they are servants who work for the benefit of others.

Vs 8-11 - Asking for advice is wise…….if you ask wise people.

Vs 12-15 - God fulfills His promises and accomplishes His purposes, even through foolish people.

Vs 16-17 - All relationships depend on a value exchange; each side must bring something the other side values.

Vs 18-24 - Following God’s way, right away, can prevent unnecessary suffering and hardship.

12: 1- 6 - When we reject God’s way, He may discipline us by letting us have our way.

Vs 7-9 - God uses corrective discipline to train us to trust and obey Him.
