ഇത്തവണ നമ്മുടെ താരം സുപ്രു എന്ന നീല സ്കൂട്ടറാണ്. സുപ്രുവിനു ഒരു പ്രത്യേകതയുണ്ട്, അവന് ഒരിടത്ത് അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല, എപ്പോഴും "സൂം... സൂം..." എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. കുറച്ചുകാലം മുൻപ് അവരുടെ നാട്ടിലെ വലിയ മലകൾക്കിടയിൽ ഒരു പുതിയ തൂക്കുപാലം വന്നിരുന്നു. ഈ പാലം വളരെ വീതി കുറഞ്ഞതും, കാറ്റത്ത് ആടുന്നതുമായിരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ വലിയ വണ്ടികളൊന്നും അതിൽ കയറില്ല. നമ്മുടെ സുപ്രു സ്കൂട്ടർ എന്നും ഈ പാലത്തിന്റെ അരികിൽ വന്ന് നിൽക്കും. എന്നിട്ടോ? കഥ കേട്ടോളൂ

അതൊരു പഴയ വീടായിരുന്നു. അവിടെ കുറേപേർ താമസിച്ചിരുന്നു. അവരിൽ ഒരാളായിരുന്നു ജിജിപ്പൂച്ച. അവളൊരു നല്ല പൂച്ചക്കുട്ടിയായിരുന്നു. ആ വീട്ടിലെ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് അവൾ ഒരു അനുജത്തിയെ പോലെയാ. രാവിലെ ഉറക്കം ഉണർന്നാൽ അവർ ആദ്യം ഓടിയെത്തുന്നത് ജിജിപൂച്ചയുടെ അടുത്തേക്കാണ്. അത്രയ്ക്കു സ്നേഹമാണ്. എന്നാലും അവൾക്ക് ഏറ്റവും സ്നേഹം ആരോടായിരുന്നെന്നോ? ജിനുപൂച്ചയോട്. അവൻ ഒരു വീട്ടിലെയും പൂച്ചയല്ല. നാട്ടിലും ഓരോ വീട്ടിലുമൊക്കെ അലഞ്ഞു തിരിഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്നവനാണ്. ഭക്ഷണം പോലും അവന് ശരിക്ക് കിട്ടാത്ത ദിവസങ്ങളുമുണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ട്. അപ്പോളൊക്കെ അടുത്തുള്ള ഏതെങ്കിലും കിണറ്റിൻകരയിലോ പൈപ്പിൻചുവട്ടിലോ പോയി വെള്ളം മാത്രം കുടിച്ച് ജീവിക്കാറുമുണ്ട്. ഇത് അറിയാവുന്ന ജിജിപ്പൂച്ച ഇടയ്ക്കൊക്കെ അവൾക്കു കിട്ടുന്ന ഭക്ഷണത്തിലെ ഒരു പങ്ക് ജിനുവിന് കൊടുക്കാറുമുണ്ട്. അതുകൊണ്ടുമാത്രം ആയില്ലല്ലോ. ഒരു പൂച്ചയാകുമ്പോൾ എന്തെല്ലാം ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ കാണും. ഉറങ്ങാനൊരു ഇടം, ഭക്ഷണം, നല്ല വെള്ളം അങ്ങനെ എന്തെല്ലാം. പാവം അല്ലേ. എന്നിട്ടോ? കേട്ടോളൂ

ആ റോഡിന് ഇരുവശത്തും കുറച്ചു വീടുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാവർക്കും തിരക്കല്ലേ, ആരും നേരിട്ട് കാണാറുകൂടിയില്ല. വല്ലപ്പോഴും പുറത്തേക്കിറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ ആരെങ്കിലും പരസ്പരം കണ്ടാൽ കണ്ടു. മിണ്ടിയാൽ മിണ്ടി. ചിരിച്ചാൽ ചിരിച്ചു. അത്ര തന്നെ. പക്ഷെ ആ വീടുകളുടെ മതിലുകളിലുള്ള വള്ളിച്ചെടികളും പൂക്കളുമൊക്കെ നല്ല കൂട്ടായിരുന്നു. ഈ വീട്ടുകാരൊക്കെ പരസ്പരം ഒരു സ്‌നേഹവുമില്ലാതെ ജീവിക്കുന്നതിൽ അവർക്ക് ലേശം വിഷമവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഒരിക്കൽ ആ ചെടികളിലേക്ക് വിരുന്നു വരുന്ന പൂമ്പാറ്റകളും തേനീച്ചകളും ഈ കഥയൊക്കെ അറിഞ്ഞു. ഈ വീട്ടുകാരെയൊക്കെ ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കാൻ എന്താ വഴി? കഥ കേട്ടോളൂ
