Prayer is the means by which weak humans communicate with the uncreated God. This is the great wonder: every morning we wake up and stumble into cosmic significance because the Sovereign King of the universe has chosen to talk to us. When we engage in that conversation, He accomplishes His will in each of us personally and realizes His purposes on the earth. This then begs the question: "What is Prayer, and how do we do it?" In this podcast, R.A. Martinez sits down to define three different types of prayer and how to engage in each of them to build a vibrant and powerful life of prayer.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with Brandon Hampton for a raw conversation about authentic worship, intimacy in relationship with God, and how worship cultures are formed. Listen to this discussion for a fresh outlook on worship, trends, and how to pursue the unique sound that God is drawing out of you and your community.
R.A. Martinez sits down with a few of our MAPS leaders to discuss a very important topic. The New Testament exhorts us to walk along the narrow road between lawlessness and legalism. We are warned of the dangers of both but we tend to ardently resist liberalism when it knocks on our front door but sometimes fail to recognize legalism when creeps in the back. It is time for us to have in-depth conversations about how to avoid both in our leadership environments.
We sit down to interview a family who started as listeners to our podcast! They joined our Frontier Missions School, trained with us, deployed for 90 days in the Middle East and are now leading teams back to the frontier! There are many more like them who God is calling to get in the game with the Great Commission. If you're one of those people, we pray that this conversation gives you courage to say yes to the journey that Jesus is leading you on.
In episode 101, we have our Senior Vice President of Care in the house! Listen as R.A. Martinez and Chris Carter discuss the evolution of our current sermon series "The Father's House" and hear the heart behind the messaging. The Father's aim is to gather wandering sons to come home and stay home. There, we mature into fathers and mothers who turn and welcome others home.
We did it! One hundred episodes full of leadership lessons, hard conversations, bible talk, and banter. We have so enjoyed releasing these episodes over the past four years. We hope that they have served you well. Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed the ride with us!
Listen to the continuation of the discussion on "Antioch Sending Centers" as R.A. Martinez walks through five "convergence points" found in Antioch and the elements we can expect to hold in tension as we build presence centered families.
In the third episode of this conversation on "Antioch Sending Centers," we talk about the tensions that laborers are formed in to be robust, internally strong and have longevity. The environment that became the Apostolic hub of the New Testament was filled with tensions as it became a place of convergence and confluence.
