This is a true coming of age tale, and wonderfully character driven, so we’re looking forward to going deep with this one. Our foundational theme for the text is identity, and in this episode we’re reading Chapters 1-4 through the theme of waiting.

  • One Shot - Thor Ragnarok
Time for another one shot! We’re talking about one of our absolutely fave films, Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok. As antipodeans, we are particularly delighted by it. We look at the film through the themes of family and memory, and let’s just say those Asgardians have some family issues. We had a lot of fun with this one!

In this novel, Lazlo and the ghost of Sarai unearth more secrets, and work hard to find common ground between the two worlds of humans and gods. Sparrow blooms, Minya unravels, and Thyon gets the redemption arc Draco Malfoy wishes he had!
