It’s that time of year again where the men that can grow a mustach do to help raise awareness to fight Prostate Cancer; except for Todd. Instead he’s decided to grows sideburns instead, this Movember. Last year, Todd tells the listeners that he looked like a dirtbag with his ridiculous handlebar mustach and so has decide to opt. Does he have the right or must he suffer the home grown snot catcher along with his fellow men?
Well he started off the Movember festivities with his first straight razor shave, ever! Todd wasn’t scared to have a complete stranger swing a straight precariously above his jugular vein. That’s because before he went under the knife, Marie treated him to a stiff glass of Jack Daniels Whiskey with a splash of actual smoke, burnt off a strip of maple.
With a couple of nicks and some blood stains here and there, Todd’s face felt like it did when he was 13 years old. So smooooooooth!
November’s Movember draws awareness about Prostate Cancer but it is also a time for Remembrance. We lost two Canadian soldiers on home soil just weeks before our Remembrance Day Ceremonies on November 11th. In two separate incidence, we lost two of our bravest.
This week’s episode of Low Fidelity, Todd lets his Canadian pride shine free. Dropping Canadian hits from Bob and Doug Mckenzie to Reggae legends Messenjah, Todd talks about his new friend from Brazil, Douglas. Douglas speaks softly with the rasp like Marlon Brando. He’s been working so hard to become a Canadian citizen, and boy we’d be lucky to have him! At night he studies English, works out in the early morning and pays his taxes from a job he does during the day. Douglas may have his Masters degree but no job is beneath him. If he had to flip burgers he would and I know he’d be the best at it. He knows there are problems everywhere, even in this place called Canada, but he’ll never say a damn thing derogatory about his new country. Douglas doesn’t even bitch about the weather...
In essence, Douglas has the substance needed to be an awesome Canuck. This weeks podcast is all about Canadian Pride
