In this episode, Mariette Frey interviews Kara Taylor, DreamBuilder Coach and
Life Mastery Consultant, about transitioning from being a therapist to helping people achieve their dreams. They discuss the Dream Building Framework, which involves envisioning the future, making decisions, and befriending fear. They emphasize the importance of enjoying the journey and taking credit for the steps taken along the way. They also discuss the arrival fallacy and the importance of finding happiness in the present moment. The conversation concludes with a discussion on manifesting dreams through specificity. In this conversation, Mariette and Kara discuss the importance of shifting from a lack mindset to an abundance mindset. They explore examples of lack mindset and how it can limit our potential. They also emphasize the need to focus on the what, not the how, when pursuing our dreams. The power of affirmations and language is highlighted, along with the importance of surrendering to the universe's plan. The phrase 'up until now' is introduced to shift perspective and embrace growth. The conversation concludes with a discussion on gratitude, visualization, and taking daily action towards our dreams. Two key phrases to remember from the show…when talking about habits that are holding you back (that you want to change), use “up until now” and after thinking through your vision daily, end with “this or something even better.”

On today's show, "2023 Housing Market & 2024 Predictions With Laura Makes Moves & Jeremy Moyer, SC Mortgage Broker," we talk about what a rollercoaster ride the 2023 housing market was and how waiting for the rates to go down is not a great strategy for 2024.
Laura Sinclair of Laura Makes Moves is a licensed real estate agent and relocation coach out of Aiken, SC, who specializes in connecting movers with a real estate agent that fits your needs and personality in your future town. Laura's been on the podcast before and I love working with her because we share the same passion for helping prepare people for long-distance relocations.
Jeremy Moyer, Loan Officer with Movement Mortgage serving South Carolina and Georgia, talks us through what to look for when shopping for mortgages because they're not all the same! There are different ways to help drive down your rates; although they won't be dropping down to the 2021 rates, there are ways to figure out what you can afford through their affordability calculator and other insights during the show.

On today's episode of Mariette's On The Move we have a very special guest! @thekevinbay comes on today and we talk about 'Rental Arbitrage.' It came from a conversation we were having about 'robustness', which is part of my FRED Framework (physical strength) when it comes to moving, and he mentioned something about how he's doing rental arbitrage. I was like, 'time out- what is that??' I had never heard of it, have you??
It's when you do a long term rental agreement with a landlord to rent out that place short term. It's a great alternative to buying a place and rent it out on a short term basis, but there are some pros and cons. Tune in to find out what they are!
Kevin's a former college and professional athlete who now owns a fitness business called Hybrid Performance Center in Peoria, AZ where he trains all levels of baseball players from young high school kids to players that play for major league baseball team.
