Mark Harrington

Wendell Brane has been an outspoken advocate for unborn children since thePastor early 1980s. He has organized and participated in various pro-life demonstrations over the decades, even facing multiple lawsuits from different abortion clinics. He currently pastors Trinity Evangelical Church in Fort Wayne, where he has served since 2001.

In the late 80s and early 90s, Wendell led Northeast Indiana Rescue which brought hundreds of Christians together to block entrances of area abortion clinics. The peaceful acts of civil disobedience resulted in both saving babies and raising awareness of the evil of abortion.

On today’s program, Mark gets to the issue of whether civil disobedience can be justified in rescuing children from abortion. Pastor Brane’s clear thinking and experience brings a fresh look at this controversial topic.

Thriving in a time of exile – The Mark Harrington Show | 5-11-21

We currently live in a political wilderness. We are a people without a country. We are Christian dissidents.

On today’s episode, I share the vision for successful anti-abortion advocacy in the era of living in exile.

How bad is it?

62 million babies have died since 1973.

After 48 years after Roe, we elected the most pro-abortion president in history.

We are even unable stop infanticide.

And whether we have a Republican or Democrat president, babies continue to die day in and day out.

The fact is, there is no political solution currently.

That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t work to restrain evil insofar as we are able given current political circumstances. That doesn’t mean we abandon politics. Because all truth is God’s truth, we must contend for the faith on every battlefield of ideas.

But we are not people without hope.

However, there is a difference between optimism and hope. Optimism can be dangerous. Optimism can create false hope. Wishful thinking can be a problem because it asks little. It requires little.

Our hope is in Christ! Our hope is the Gospel.

In this time of darkness, we need to ask for more! God demands it.

Here are three actions we can take to not only survive exile but to thrive while we are in exile:

Share the truth about abortion and the Gospel.

Save the innocent.

Form communities of support.

Rebecca Kiessling appears on The Mark Harrington Show to share an incredible story of hope, love, and God's grace. Rebecca was conceived in rape, targeted for abortion, and now lives to speak for those who are vulnerable.  

She has helped pregnant rape victims all around the world to choose life for their children. She’s also an attorney, wife, and mother of 5 (two oldest are adopted). She lost 2 additional babies to miscarriage, as well as her 33-day-old adopted daughter Cassie, who was born with special needs.

On the show, Rebecca deals with some of the “hard cases” regarding abortion, such as the rape and incest exception.

Also, as an attorney and a “no exceptions” anti-abortion advocate, Rebecca supports Heartbeat Bill legislation. Mark will quiz her as to why.

Many Christians only consider abortion as a political, or educational issue. However, abortion is a spiritual battle.

Created Equal has been increasingly harassed by abortion advocates who overtly identify as Satanists. And those who love death (abortion advocates) are often quick to embrace Satanism’s tenants.

Satanists and abortion supporters both believe in “bodily autonomy.” For the Satanist, defending abortion access is a worthy form of worship because one of their tenant’s states, “one’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will.” The satanic doctrine of absolute autonomy over one’s own destiny has become the pro-abortion rallying cry of “My body, my choice.”
