While Marx often discussed 'classes" he never defined them. When it comes to unalienable rights does it matter whether it's populist or not? Capitalism at its root is our freedom to use our intellectual and physical labor to get something or give something, this is the essence of liberty. Afterward, if the bureaucracy ever wants to go after its citizenry, it will do it by way of taxes. Alexis De Tocqueville wrote about this praising the United States for being uniquely different yet here we are facing 87,000 new IRS agents and the Republicans seem more interested in being populists rather than defending the Constitution.
