When Destiny Ayo Vaughan was five years old, she narrowly avoided a forced childhood marriage with a men in his twenties, only to be trafficked into Ireland from Nigeria. She was subsequently abused by her own biological mother before being taken into care. Her story is one of bravery in the face of abject cruelty. Destiny has since created Mind The Gap - a platform for SA survivors to support each other. It was an honour to have her on the show and I will remember this conversation for the rest of my life.
IMPORTANT - Destiny's story contains harrowing details her experiences of child abuse, so listeners should be mindful that this is not an easy listen at times. I think it's the most important conversation we've ever had on the show, but really worth letting you know in advance that some of these details are frightful and likely to evoke a very emotional reaction.
To vote for Destiny to win Miss Ireland, you have to download this app. Aside from that being an insane inconvenience and ludicrous by whomever is running Miss Ireland, we do believe it's the least we can do to support Destiny. Let's help her bring it home guys. Download app here and vote for her.

I feel fairly strongly about this. Interested to know what you all think. Some of the story has had to be removed in order to protect the identity of the caller and of course, the TD. The voice has been RADICALLY altered to avoid any accent detection. Any comments mentioning particular TDs or friends' identities will be sent into the abyss. Comments on the poo, more than welcome.

This week is genuinely doing more for modern day insanity than those videos of people queueing to get into shopping centres on Black Friday. I can't decide which story is my favourite. Either way, all of the madness is forming a major part of the plans we have for December 13th...
Any stories? Any suffering? Any roasts? Any thoughts? Hit me up: https://www.instagram.com/mehiganmark/?hl=en
Genuinely not for the faint hearted. And we will say no more than that.
From farm to table, meat to mouth. It's the story for the man himself. We are extremely grateful to whoever it was that persuaded him to come on. THANK YOU! I wonder should we try to get them on a date? https://www.instagram.com/mehiganmark/?hl=en
Nick Dunn was hired to accompany private ships on the most treacherous seas and protect them from Somali pirates. He never intended on becoming one of the the Chennai Six: a group of six men jailed in India for a crime they didn't commit. This episode may be triggering for those suffering with PTSD. I urge you to listen to the whole thing to fathom the enormity of Nick's pain and resilience.
Look, we've all ran into the arms of the nearest suitor to help quench the belly deep sadness and empty yearning for human connection after a break up. But these ones are particularly perverted.

Fancy a butchers? It's the perfect Meat Cute. I genuinely don't even know what to say about this one. Maybe it's a Dublin thing. Maybe it's a non meat for intercourse thing. I don't know... I just think it's totally insane.
Which of the new theme tunes is your favourite? Give us a shout with any interview requests. We've got some very exciting ones lined up for the Autumn... https://www.instagram.com/mehiganmark/?hl=en
Liam A Brady is Ireland's leading professional private investigator. He's been in business for 51 years. He joined us in the studio yesterday with his wife and business partner, Annette. Two nicer people you could not meet. I have to caveat that some of the themes in this episode are very serious and contain details of predatory behaviour which may be triggering for some listeners. Let me know what you think and who you'd like us to interview next.
