Rob Towell from Sasfin Securities chose Nextera Energy Inc as his stock pick of the day.

"At the moment we still prefer overseas to local, even though locals is having a really good run. We like Nextera Energy, it's a clean energy company of Florida that does wind solar as well as a little bit of coal b​ut, mainly it is all green energy. Nextera is a very well run utility with good cash flows and is growing across America."

Makwe Masilela from Makwe Fund Managers chose cash as his stock pick of the day and David Shapiro from Sasfin Securities chose Porsche.

Masilela said: What's been drawing my attention is the strength of the rand and given that the markets have done so well I'll be sitting on my cash.

Shapiro said: I can't believe that there are so many rich people in the world, lining up to buy these luxury cars, so I thought I'd look at Porsche as well. Porsche is also a model that I think has a wide appeal so although I haven't looked closely at it, I am going to say if Ferrari can do it, there is nothing wrong with a Porsche.

Kwame Antwi from KOA Capital chose Remgro as his stock pick of the day.

"We're turning a little bit more positive on the economic recovery, we feel that markets had been a bit too bearish, specifically on SA so we actually wanted a stock that sort of represents the SA economy, without necessarily buying the index so we're actually going for Remgo."

Nesi Chetty from Stanlib chose Sirius Property Fund as his stock pick of the day.

"We like Sirius Property Fund. It's one in the portfolio that we've had for a while and we continue to see longer term value. It's the leading operator of branded business parks and flexible workspaces"

Caroline Cremen from Adviceworx chose Paypal as her stock pick of the day.

"My stock pick is a payments company called Paypal and Paypal processes about four billion transactions every three months. It took a dive over the last few days because its third quarter came out and really disappointed the market. I don't really see why because margins are still strong, volumes are still growing and you have about a 25% revenue growth year on year, cash-flush unlike a lot of other tech companies and its mobile payment wallet Venmo is also shortly going to start monetizing itself, so why while it's weak, pick it up."
