Many people today believe marriage is just a social institution that we can change as we see fit. But marriage is actually God’s institution.

You see, marriage was the first institution God ordained. In Genesis we read that God created male and female—yes, only two genders—in his image and that “the two become one flesh” in marriage. Since marriage was created by God only God has the authority to define it. That means we can’t just define it however we want.

Marriage is one man and one woman for life. Scripture makes this clear. Gay “marriage” or other deviations from God’s design are just counterfeits.
