Many people think that what you believe about Genesis is just a side issue, it doesn’t really matter. But all of our major Christian doctrines, and our Christian worldview, are grounded in the history in Genesis.

Here’s an example: why is marriage one man and one woman for life? Well, because God created marriage and so he defines it—and that’s how he defined it from the beginning.

Many professing Christians no longer believe in biblical marriage. And many of these same Christians don’t believe Genesis is literal history so, really, it’s no surprise. Genesis and marriage go hand-in-hand. Yes, Genesis matters!
