Hello from Social Distancing Land! From our new home office, we bring to you a completely unfair assessment of a movie that isn't even out yet - Artemis Fowl! We love the Artemis Fowl series to bits, and boy howdy...this trailer kinda makes it seem like the Disney corporation doesn't. What do we mean by that? Tune in as we break this trailer down, beat by beat, as well as dive into behind-the-scenes interviews and details to see whether this new Artemis Fowl makes the cut! *As few book spoilers as possible, but mentions of later characters in the series for those in the know.*

It's crossover time again! With so much Oscar hype, we needed a few more perspectives on this movie, and so we're joined in the studio by first-timer Ryan and returning guest Sam (of "Paige and Sam Plan a Wedding" fame)to talk about the unexpectedly delightful, poignant, and farcical Jojo Rabbit.

Welcome to the Month of Love 2020! We get romantical with Starman, not a David Bowie song or an astronaut circling the globe in a Roadster, but the 1984 film featuring Karen Allen and Jeff Bridges. We talk about the subversion of abduction narratives, the power of choice, and the beauty of a narrative that leaves you wanting more in all the right ways. Also, WHY WAS KAREN ALLEN NOT ALSO NOMINATED FOR BEST ACTRESS SHE SLAYS THIS ROLE AND THIS IS REALLY HER STORY - sorry, just had to scream that here so I didn't in the podcast. *SPOILERS*

Because we just can't resist a movie with Gerard Butler in it, we sat through Dracula 2000, and found a couple truly interesting plot threads worth further exploration, but buried in a coffin of early 2000s tropes, excruciatingly long set-ups with a lack of scary payoff, and just an absurd amount of advertisements for Virgin Records. Do the hysterical one-liners and unexpected cameos make up for the wasted opportunity? Considering we decided to make an episode about it, I think we've already answered that question. *SPOILERS*

Welcome to Season Four! We're starting out 2020 with perhaps the worst movie of the previous year - Cats. Never before has an adaptation made us question the validity of the original, but even with the unnerving and incomplete CGI, non-existent plot, and constant questioning of sanity every time a cat strips, is there enough here to make this movie "so bad it's good" material? *SPOILERS, but that would imply that this movie actually has a story to spoil*

Our final episode of Season Three, and we couldn't have ended on a higher note! Klaus brings to the table all the things we love in a film - beautiful 2-D animation, loveable and engaging characters, gorgeous 2-D animation, impeccable comedic timing, stellar 2-D animation, a whole lot of heart and soul, and if you think we're talking a lot about the fantastic 2-D animation now, just wait till you hear the episode. *BONUS - we also talk about some of the other new Christmas movies we dove through this month trying to find a new holiday classic, including The Knight Before Christmas and Noelle.*

We just couldn't leave well enough alone, and we just couldn't keep it under an hour. With the first Disney princess sequel ever released in theaters finally out after half a dozen years of waiting, we discuss if Frozen 2 grows from its too-popular roots, or does it go too deep and drown? *SPOILERS after the Sponsordome, as well as a great deal of expletives - yes, it's one of those episodes.*

It's time for the inaugural episode takeover of the Feminist Agenda! We kick things off with one of the best sports movies of all time, A League of Their Own. We discuss the five key points that make this movie a feminist masterpiece, continually bemoan the abundance of either/or forced conflict in the world when we could just have both, and get super personal about our marriage, so SPOILERS for both the movie and ourselves.
