Marvel is officially concluding its relaunched Ultimate Universe comic line in early 2026 with an event called "Ultimate Endgame."[1] Despite strong sales for titles like Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men, Marvel's Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski confirmed the termination of the line.[1] The decision to end the universe is reportedly due to an agreement with architect Jonathan Hickman, who had a contract stipulating the line's conclusion upon his story's completion, aiming to avoid the diminishing returns seen with previous extended Marvel runs.[1] Elements from this Ultimate Universe, which progressed in real-time, are expected to merge into the main 616 Marvel Universe.[1]
