Based on the teachings of Karl Marx, the study of Urban Political Ecology seeks to answer these questions and more.

"Turning Up the Heat" is a collection of essays from leading Political Ecologists that help frame the multitude of crises humans and the environment face today as a direct result of the politics of our time.
