So many of us know the true reason for the Christmas season which is undoubtedly: Jesus. As newly married young married woman, this year I began to reflect on Jesus’s birth story, but from the perspective of someone who is often forgotten if not misunderstood, or in some denominations, overly-glorified in the retelling.
I started to think about the birth story of Jesus from Mary’s perspective. She was a believer with amazing faith. She had to endure pains, trials, and hardships. I think we often overlook her hardships, because we are again, as we should be, focused on the joy of Jesus. Let's dive in to scripture to see what we can learn from Mary!
