The story of Christmas teaches us to be generous and good at being rich. We shouldn't feel guilty... instead we should stay humble, trust in God to provide, know that joy in life comes from God, use our money for good, and practice generosity. The Christmas Story ultimately teaches us that life is indeed better together. So let's learn to love and be generous this Christmas.
After the year we’ve had, We Need a Little Christmas! Spirit of Generosity & Good Will, Christmas Music, Movies, and more. The underlying question is, "Can anyone really overcome the past?" Discover what the Bible says about healing past wounds and moving on with your life.
2020 has left us emotionally drained with conversations of one COVID war story after another. Our lives have been turned upside down. Our normal realm of operating is nothing like it was last year at this time. If that wasn’t enough, we had to deal with a crazy spectacle of an election that makes very little sense to us. It leaves us this Thanksgiving with the thought “Give Thanks?? Thanks for nothing!” Regardless of our emotional drain, we are still called to “Give Thanks” but why??
It seems that with every election we have this underlying desire to bring about change. What does that mean? How do we bring about real change? What role do we play in this change? Ultimately, what does God expect from us with this change?
In part 5 of this Series "Politics Through the Eyes of God" we dive deeper into Joshua to see how it applies to our life during these wild election times. If things weren't confusing enough leading up to the elections now it seems to have gone from bad to worse. No matter who you voted for, there is one thing for sure. It certainly didn't come out quite the way we expected it. What are we to do with what seems to be a complete and total mess? The more important thing is to note what is God trying to do with us during these moments. What does God want from us during these moments?
The 2020 Election has been nothing short of a train wreck in so many ways. How do we find peace in the middle of this mess? We are to move forward in faith, but God calls us to consecrate ourselves. That also means that we need to remind ourselves of what God has already done and prepare ourselves to move forward in faith.
Are you a believer in God, who follows the teachings of Jesus? Should this be something that influences our politics? Is God on our side or are we on God’s side? Today we dive deeper into the lessons from the story of Joshua.
With so many voices in the world today it can seem to be a difficult task to choose what is right, especially when it comes to elections. We often find ourselves thinking what is the right choice... more to the point, what is the wise choice. We look at the life of Joshua again to find out what really matters when making these choices.
The Libera Left or the Radical Right? The times that we are in can be scary. So much uncertainty and chaos can make it unclear as to what we are to do. In this vital message, we take some time in Joshua to see what God tells us to do.
Do we look at scripture through the lens of the world or do we look at the world through the lens of scripture? In this powerful message, we take a good look at what John the Baptist told us that we should do to prepare for the coming of Jesus. We take this message to apply to us today in where we are at with our life, our possessions, our relationships.
