This week as we transition to recording live services we decided to pull a message from last May, "Resetting The Vision On Church" As quarantines start to lift how do we reset the church?
Be sure to catch next week's episode as we have our special guest speaker Jason Frisch with his message "God of the Underdog"
To Cowboy Up is to recognize the changes that need to take place in our lives. This includes our need to grow up. If we aren’t willing to acknowledge this, we are running the risk of operating in a “Peter Pan Syndrome” where we simply don’t want to grow up and remain a child in the way we behave. The only problem with this is that God is actually calling us to grow up. We dive into Paul’s letter to Timothy where he encourages him to live his life in a way that causes others to overlook his youth so that they will listen and hear from God. How do we do this? How do we have our convictions overcome our personality so that we can grow up and impact others in our life?
One of the biggest challenges in our relationship with God is revealed in our relationships with each other. After all, how can we love our God who we haven’t seen if we can’t love our brother who we have seen? If we are to truly “Cowboy Up” this means that we need to do so in our relationships. Join us as we dive into the book of Philemon to discuss this further!
Jesus has put us on notice… Christianity is not for cowards! The Church back then faced the same things that we face today. The Church today is now in the crosshairs of culture. What do we do when the unthinkable happens? In the midst of rejection, betrayal, and persecution… it’s time to saddle up. It’s time to Cowboy Up!
The resurrection of Jesus makes us unshakeable is the good news of Easter! The only problem is that we don’t always feel unshakeable when unthinkable things happen. How did Jesus coming, suffering, dying, and resurrection cause us to become unshakeable? The simple message of Resurrection, Repentance, and Renewal. You won’t want to miss this wrap-up to our “God Wants to Make Us Unshakeable” series.
This weekend we continue our “God Promises To Make Us Unshakable” with the message “When We Surrender to Jesus as Our Lord”. It’s one thing to call Jesus Savior, but what does it mean to call Him Lord? How does that make us Unshakable?
Our Heavenly Father knows what we need the most and will give that to us. How much more will the Father give to us the Holy Spirit to us who ask for Him. After all the Spirit of God is what empowers us to be unshakeable in so many ways. In today’s message, we take a look at how “The Presence of His Spirit Makes Us Unshakeable.”
Jesus said, “Don’t worry about your life” but our past experiences and our current circumstances pull us apart in every way possible. Simply believing in God doesn’t make us free from these experiences. The difference is how those who truly believe process these experiences. This Sunday message we look at how our truly trusting the promises of God makes us unshakeable.
Y2k, Anthrax, West Nile, Bird Flu, Financial Crisis, Mayan Calendar, and now Covid. We have had fearful thoughts driven into us for the past 20 years and longer. This Sunday, we continue our series, “God Wants to Make Us Unshakeable” with the message “God’s Word Gives Us Unshakeable Direction.” Psalms 119:105 tells us that His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. What does that mean? How does God’s word move us through an unshakeable path?
It may seem that a lot has changed over the years but if we look closely enough, we will see that the struggles that the early church faced are not all that different than what we face today. A lot of those struggles came from society externally and manifests inside the church. Chris takes us into Paul’s letter to the Romans to show us how history often repeats itself as we are still facing those same struggles.
