With so many changes to Apex in season 11, an extremely successful Tropic Thunder tournament, and a renewed love for the game, we've been thinking long and hard about where the Dropping Spicy podcast is going. During this rather unscripted episode, we make a few announcements, including Kurabara taking a vacation for the month, and our intentions to revamp the show and community to make it better than ever! We'll be looking for honest community feedback for ongoing changes and improvements to the show, community, and events, and will likely be expanding our crew, to help with all of that! Keep on the lookout for an official feedback poll on our Twitter and Discord.

Aside from that, we go over the Tropic Thunder Tournament results, and gush about how much fun the whole community had, as well as how awesome our community is, as a whole, then we have a short discussion about final rings, inclduing a wholesome Tweet by principal level designer Rodney Reece, an excellent map relabeling by reddit user Snaxel.Z, and a short discussion about the CAR SMG, Triple Take, and other guns in the Apex Meta!

Ramses and LoBosco discuss the recent passing of OWL player Kim Kyeong-bo AKA Alarm. We talk about the sudden announcement of his passing and the ripples its' sent through the OWL community. We go on to discuss the greater impact Alarm has had on the Overwatch League and what his legacy will be going forward. We encourage you take care of yourself and those around you during this period.

StaticGorilla and Crashtag are back with a new episode of Double Tap after an exciting NEC weekend. In the Fighter's Corner, we watch some of the latest footage of KOF XV and Guilty Gear Strive continues to tease the next character or just the holidays. Then, Nickelodeon All Stars Brawli is getting a patch. In the Randoms of the FGC, we check out a rare detailed interview with Daisuke and Idom gets a sponsor. In the Focus Attack, we continue the conversation in regards to improving the viewing experience and events. Finally, in the World Warrior, StaticGorilla returns from NEC and gives us his impressions and in the Mod Highlight we look at a Psylocke mod in Umvc3.

Nick, Chip, and Kura are back this week to talk about visiting Illium. They point out that this is the earliest they could go there, as it only opens up after Horizon. After a brief interaction with Careena, an administrator present on behalf of Dr. Liara T'soni, Shepard learns that Liara has waived all docking fees and that slavery (well, indentured servitude) is permitted on Illium. Shepard enters the city proper and the guys compare Illium with Omega and the Citadel. Garrus points out that the city is a gilded version of Omega, and just as dangerous. They also talk about how indirect the layout is and how it lacks a central corridor.

They talk about a questline that involves encountering Shiala, the Asari who served as the voice of the Thorian back on Feros. She is green now, and the colonists at Zhu's Hope are suffering after their time controlled by the Thorian. They have made a deal with Baria Frontiers to do some medical scans, but now Baria wants to do more invasive procedures, which the Colonists are against. Shepard has to talk to Erinya, the Baria vendor, to negotiate a better deal. Baria, after the death of her children, is explicitly racist against humans and must be dealt with as only Shepard can.

They then talk about running into an Asari who is a representative of the Rachni Queen. They talk about Sovereign's role in instigating the Rachni war, and if the reaper had a direct hand in the Rachni Queen winding up in Noveria. They speculate if the Rachni's song-based form of communication made them especially vulnerable to indoctrination.

Next, they run into Gianna Parasini, also last seen on Noveria. She's back on an undercover mission and Shepard can help out (or not). Gianna might be getting a bit too friendly with Shepard, as she parts with a kiss on the cheek.

Finally, they head into Eternity, the bar on Illium. There, they find a Turian failing to woo a Quarian, and a multi-species bachelor party which leads to speculation about how Asari are able to enter relationships with so many relationships.

Next, they meet CONRAD F***ING VERNER! He's back now acting like Shepard trying to stop a red sand dealer on Illium, except that red sand is legal on Illium. Shepard has words with the weapons dealer that started the whole situation, and Verner goes off to start the Shepards program for orphans.

Finally, they talk about Aetheya, the matriarch who is also the bartender and owner for Eternity. They talk about Asari as they age and also suggest that she may be more involved in the story than she appears.

Katie is back and Nick is here and the pair are ready to talk about lore! First, they get off on a tangent about Hearthstone Mercenaries and talk about how Katie can't play card games. Then Katie talks about her struggles getting the Headless Horseman mount again this year, and talks about how her alts still have all their currency and items from Hallow's End last year.

They begin talking about Elune, and how she admits to her sister that she tried to send the souls to Ardenweald and didn't know about the souls being rerouted to the Maw. Nick mentions that this shows that Elune is not omniscient and some people were upset because she should be. Nick makes an extended lemonade metaphor. Then he goes into his theory that Elune is the agent sent from Revendreth by Denathrius and she has usurped power in the realm of Life. They speculate on the relationship between LIght and Life magic and try to figure out where Elune fits between the two.

They talk about the origins of the Eternal Ones, and try to figure out the order they would have been born in, if they were born. Nick wonders if they are Eternal like the characters in the Sandman who still have a birth order and can die, yet are always around. They try to consider the origins of the Universe and how the Eternal Ones and Titans could have fit into that. They also wonder if Elune is the Moon, could she be like a Titan and could a smaller moon still house such a being?
