  • Push The Point #108: Goodbye Runaway and a Look Ahead
LoBosco takes over hosting duties while Ramses is out of town and brings in speical gues lafon to talk about the latest news in the Overwatch League. lafon and LoBosco start by covering the latest player moves of the Chengdu Hunters who call up Tarocook1e to the main roster and send down Kaneki to their contenders roster Team Chaser. They also cover Agape leaving the San Francisco Shock coaching staff due to family reasons and discuss what the implications of losing another coach might be for the Shock team as a whole.
LoBosco and lafon rejoice at the announcment of the return of home games to US soil with the Dallas Fuel's plan to host their game against the Houston Outlaws in July. The last pieces of news are perhaps the most forboding with Tony Petitti stepping down as President of Sports and Entertainment of Actvision Blizzard, after holding the postion for less than a year. A hire many were unsure of when it was announced but turned out to be someone that people interally ended up liking. Oddly enough there was talks about Actvision Blizzard possibly investing in whatever Petitti's next venture is which just added more to the confusion as to what might be planned for his future.
The biggest piece of heartbreaking news came in the form of Runaway's depature from Overwatch. One of the most beloved franchies in contenders and one of the biggest names from before the Overwatch League. LoBosco and lafon talked about the impact of Runaway and how there's a massive void with Runaway gone.
LoBosco and lafon move on from the Runaway news to a lighter note talking about the start of the Summer Showdown qualificaion games. Previewing all the matches in week one and hlighting some games they are most looking forward to.

  • The Tauren & The Goblin #127: On Folk & Fairy Tales of Azeroth (Part I)
Nick and Katie are back and finally they've received their Folk & Fairy Tales of Azeroth books and they are excited to begin diving into the stories! First they talk about their initial impressions of the book and its gorgeous presentation including a ribbon for bookmarking your progress. Nick also talks about how he didn't want to get it at first but some of the stories relevance to the lore convinced him.
They dive into each of the stories. First, they talk about "Eyes of the Earth Mother" by L.L. McKinney. They talk about its status as a creation myth and Nick discusses how he tried to force this story to fit with their accepted understanding of the creation of the cosmos from Chronicle. They also talk about who would tell this story, and Nick and Katie struggle to remember Hamuul Runetotem. They then consider the vague threat of the Shadow and how it relates to the void attack on Thunder Bluff in Battle for Azeroth.
Next, they talk about "One Small Tuskarr" by Garth Nix. This was an enjoyable story of a small Tuskarr overcoming great odds to defeat a sea serpent. Nick appreciates the way that prophecy played into the story, while Katie looks at the expansion of Tuskarr culture we are given.
"Lay Down My Bones" by Alyssa Wong is a classic horror story with an Edgar Allen Poe vibe. Nick and Katie run through the tale of Siy and Hava and how their story is a warning to young Vulpera everywhere. Nick then tries to analyze the story with what we know about the machinations of the Shadowlands.
Finally, they talk about "The Uninvited Guest" by Kami Garcia. Nick jokes that he thought this would be a Dreadlord story at first. Katie goes into the Goblin lore about trade princes and goblin funerals at length. They talk about the story and how it inverts usual horror story tropes.

We are down one host this week, but there is just as much excitement! We have some almost failed PotD runs, dragon fights, and exciting achievement updates. • Squad Goals #6: Feros, Reaper's Day Off
Nick, Chip, and Kurabara are back to talk about the early Mass Effect mission to Feros. They get right into it, talking about how the Geth are operating on the planet and maneuvering around the Zhu's Hope colony. Nick points out that the sense that something isn't right with the colonists is evident early, but the excuse of anxiety from the Geth attacks is easy to blame. Chip feels that this part of the story doesn't make as much sense, with the Geth based out of the Exogeni building when they are ostensibly there to wipe out the Thorian. They also talk about how convenient it is that everything the colony needs is right in the tunnels along with the Geth transmitter you need to destroy. Kura talks about how he delayed helping the colonists until later in the experience.
Next, the squad talks about taking the Prothean Skyway to the Exogeni headquarters. Chip and Kura are glad the Mako controls have been redone because they would struggle with staying on the road through this part. They also talk about how the radio chatter is used to highlight the side-tunnels where you can find goods are. Chip points out that he has tons of money from selling goods at this point so its not necessary. Chip also feels that the plot starts to make more sense here. They talk about meeting the Exogeni employees and getting into the Exogeni building, and they all enjoyed the interaction between the Krogan and the VI. Nick brings up the Geth church that is found in the building. They being talking about the story of the Thorian.
Finally, its time to raid the colony and everyone managed to save all the colonists, mostly due to improved gameplay. Nick was stuck to kill Ethan Jeong but Kura and Chip did not. They talk about their encounter with the Thorian and how the council was disappointed it could not be saved. They talk about whether they let Shiala the Asari live, and what Saren's relationship with the Thorian really was.
Finally, Nick mentions some side quests that can be picked up by hacking terminals on this mission.

  • WoW! Talk! #187: Global Battle.Net and Flying Update
Nick, Rei, Eric, and Harv are back on what should be an off week to talk about the latest (or lack thereof) in WoW news! First, Eric talks about how Order of Corrupted Souls is struggling again on Sire Denathrius, as just because they beat him once doesn't mean that he is on farm yet. Rei talks about bringing some odd pugs into the group to tank dungeons who behaved weirdly. And Harv is progressing through Burning Crusade Classic, with his mage almost to 61 and his hunter almost to 62. He points out that the hunter is easier to level because he can pet tank mobs. He also talks about almost running into the Felreaver on the Path of Glory but he got away before he could be smushed in with all the other skulls.
In the news, Blizzard has announced that Battle.Net is global now, and this will allow players to befriend each other across regions. This will also allow for cross-play in certain games, such as Overwatch pc players being able to play with Console gamers. This leads to a discussion of adding people to friends lists, and how Harv can never find anyone to play classic with because anyone he does friend in classic is always on retail when he checks. He talks about a player who joined a pug with him and kept hitting his polymorphed sheep, and then the player made a video and sent it to Harv, and that culminates in a story about an old lady putting a shopping cart near Harv's car.
They also talk about the update to Shadowlands Flying where Blizzard clarified that you will not have to pay for Shadowlands flying. The original post was referring to how characters have to buy Expert Riding to be able to fly at all, but once that is done (which most characters should have done long ago), you will get Shadowlands flying once you complete the relevant covenant quests.
This week's question of the week is "What is your favorite zone to level in?" Harv says Nagrand, but then changes to Val'sharrah. Rei just likes leveling with people. Eric likes Zangarmarsh, and Nick likes Valley of the Four Winds and Krasarang Wilds.
We also look back at episode #87 when store mounts drove up the price of the WoW Token and Nick was annoyed.
