Welcome to Squad Goals - A Mass Effect Legendary Edition Podcast! We are Mash Those Button's podcast talking about our experiences playing through the Mass Effect Legendary Edition to be released on May 14th. Our hosts for this journey are: Nick Zielenkievicz, host of WoW! Talk! and The Tauren & the Goblin; Chip Locke, co-host of Wonderous Tails; and Cory "Kurabara" Treadway, co-host of Apex Legends and Clan of Three. Each week we'll be discussing our journey through the galaxy and the characters that we meet and our reactions and decisions as we go along.

In this episode, we begin by talking about our gaming history and relationship to Mass Effect. Chip talks about how he has played through the games seven times and loves the franchise. He also mentions he is getting the Deluxe Edition and waiting for his helmet to ship. Kurabara mentions that he usually plays as a paragon. And Nick talks about how he was invested after Knights of the Old Republic and needed another Bioware space franchise.

Then, we talk about our favorite squadmates, where Kurabara basically mentions everyone. Chip brings up the few that Kura didn't mention, and Nick just talks about how awesome Wrex is.

Next, we discuss our plans for our characters, with Chip planning on playing paragon and Kurabara going renegade, and Nick not sure how he will go but possibly trying to pick neither path.

Finally, we discuss whether to be concerned or not that review copies were not made available to press in advance of the launch. Kura and Chip are a little concerned, but Nick thinks that EA felt that they would be redundant since you can still play Mass Effect to this day.

Clan of Three is back to talk about more Star Wars. This time we will be cover the latest Star Wars series The Bad Batch. Then in the Fighters Corner we evaluate the Recent trailer for Ryo and Robert in King Of Fighters 15 and remind you about the Guilty Gear Strive Beta coming soon. Afterwards, we get a teaser of Umbrella in Skullgirls and review the results of CPT NA West. In the Randoms of the FGC, Crashtag brings up the Steam Monthly Snapshot of fighting games, Ed Boon finds out that people want another Def Jam game, FGC anniversaries and the Intel World tour series is announced. Finally, we finish the show with a Focus Attack where we take a look at an Iceberg of "Scams" within the FGC.

We kick off the show with coverage of this week's news stories. We've got some player and content creator departures as well as the major controversy surrounding the recently lifted boycott of Saebyeolbe by OWL's 4 Chinese teams. We talk about the events leading up to the boycott, what the league might have done to ease tensions and where things could go from here. We then shift into our highlight matches: Florida Mayhem vs Shanghai Dragons (Day 1) and Chengdu Hunters vs Dallas Fuel. We give a map by map recap for each game while covering the major moments and player performances from each match.

Next, we move on to our May Melee coverage. We talk about each game in the tournament with special attention paid to the journeys of the two final teams. We highlight important moments and huge plays while comparing how the teams matched up with each other. We wrap up with some brief speculation on where the winning squad and the runners up go from here as we shift into the June Joust tournament season.

This week brought a ton of new TBC Classic info! Naismith joins the crew to talk about the TBC Classic release date, Collectors Edition mounts, level 58 boosts and more. Also we cut in a short segment with a retail gladiator to explain what the arena changes might mean.
