Mason & Ireland

Mychal Thompson tells the guys why tonight’s game is more of a statement game for the Jazz than the Lakers and argues with Mason about LeBron’s minutes and “load management.” Mason asks if Wheel Of Fortune host Pat Sajack was out of line for mocking a contestant’s speech impediment. Aaron Rodgers’ new fiancée opens up about her relationship with the Packers QB and shares how she knows nothing about football. Plus, Mason hosts a round of “Know Your City” which ends in complete scandal when a player is caught cheating red-handed!

The guys go through the news of the day in The Scoop, and Producer Lindsey asks about lies to get out of work and if Playboy Playmates are still a thing in Radio Tinder.

Mason & Ireland start the show off looking ahead to tonight’s Lakers-Jazz matchup, which Mason is slightly worried about. He and Ireland argue whether it’s a “statement” game for the Lakers, or if it’s a throw-out game due to AD still being out. They take a few calls on what tonight’s game means for LA and they discuss “Dora The Medium’s” prediction. Plus, Mason poses his own “Am I The A**hole” question regarding a garbage picker who bothers his dogs.

Mason & Ireland carry the live press conference of LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva regarding Tiger Woods’ car accident from earlier in the day. The guys then react to the information shared by the sheriff’s office and answers questions about the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The guys continue to give updates on the situation with Tiger Woods. ESPN’s Michael Eaves joins the show to explain why the accident is being so heavily covered and just how big of a deal Tiger is not only in the sports world, but in the entire world in general. Plus, Dr. Robert Klapper stops by the show to give some perspective on the potential injuries and surgeries to Tiger Woods, based on what’s being reported.

Plus, Brad Turner of the LA Times stops by to give his thoughts on the Lakers and why they aren’t necessarily interested in Boogie Cousins.

Mason seems pretty nervous about the Lakers’ recent skid and debates what the team needs to work on to get back on top. He also rips Paul George for coming out of a tight Clippers-Nets matchup in the final minutes of the game, despite it being close. Ireland and Mychal Thompson explain to Mase why he’s overreacting about the Lakers’ recent woes. The guys debate if Tiger Woods has another Major championship in him. Mason & Ireland start off the show on a disappointed note, as they learned today that they did NOT win the Best Sportstalk Radio Show at the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Ceremony. Mason thinks the voting was rigged, but Ireland tells him to suck it up because he went 0-for-3 with his nominations. The Lakers have lost their last 4 of 5 - at what point should we start to worry? Mark Teixiera stops by the show to give his thoughts on the Dodgers heading into the season, and whether he thinks the 105 wins is high or low. Plus, Michael Thompson weighs in on Cam Newton jawing with a high school kid at his football camp over the weekend. What’s the point?

The guys circle back to the Lakers after their loss to the Nets and debate if the Nets are real contenders for the NBA Finals. They talk about the Dodgers offseason moves, especially the importance of bringing back third baseman Justin Turner, who stops by the show. The guys ask him about how important it was for him to come back to LA, what he took away from the 2020 season and how he feels about the team heading into the new season. Finally, Mason epically fails at the latest round of "Who He Play For," which leaves the door open for Lindsey and Jorge to rack up another February win in Game Of Games.
