  • Too Many Choices...For Everything

A few years ago, I read a book called "The Paradox of Choice" by Barry Schwartz, and it got me thinking about the inexhaustible barrage of voices coming at us about nutrition, exercise, spirituality, how to be a real man, or a real woman, and even what constitutes "truth" in the political arena.

In this episode, I will focus on experts. Those people who are telling us THE RIGHT WAY TO DO EVERYTHING!

"Learning to choose is heard. Learning to choose well is harder. And learning to choose well in a world of unlimited possibilities is harder still. Perhaps too hard." – Barry Schwartz

    • Paradox of Choice Tedx Talk
    • There's great data on Keto, Plant Based, etc. How do we choose?
    • To we "hustle and grind?" Do we raise our attraction vibration?
    • If you see the Buddha on the road, kill him.
    • Nobody is "right." It's all perspective
    • Slow down, breathe, get present and choose, test, experiment and learn what works for you.

  • Depressed? Anxious? 7 Areas To Focus On That May Help

In my line of work and in because I care about having deep conversations with anyone and everyone, I run across people who admit to stress, anxiety and depression. And it is heartbreaking. The Coach and Helper in me wants to fix it for them. I know I can't. And I know everyone has their own journey. Doesn't take away my desire.

I also know many who have been helped with the right combination of medicine. Tremendously helped. This podcast is not against meds in any way. And… it is a discussion of what we can do to help ourselves.

PS: The areas of focus can transform anyone's experience of life… check them out.

"It is only when we listen to our pain, that we can follow it back to source, and only there, when we can see it's true causes, can we begin to overcome it." – Johann Hari

9 Causes of Depression and Anxiety

    1. Disconnection from Meaningful Work
    1. Disconnection from Other People
    1. Disconnection from Meaningful Values
    1. Disconnection from Childhood Trauma
    1. Disconnection from Status and Respect
    1. Disconnection from Natural World
    1. Disconnection from a Hopeful or Secure Future
