Australia's Minister for Resources and Northern Australia, Matt Canavan, is, like his coalition counterparts ideologically blind to the reality that the Queensland bushfires and the New South Wales downpours and flooding are examples of climate change at work.

This manufactured ignorance of something nearly all the world's climate scientists, and nearly all other thinking people have absolutely no doubt about was front and centre on the same day the Mr Canavan announced that the Adani Carmichael mine and rail project was to go ahead, being self-funded by the Indian company.
