  • Luka Agenda back? The Outsiders recap a very interesting week for the Dallas Mavericks

In the latest episode of the Mavs Outsiders Podcast, Reese and Bibs had a lot to talk about. Since they already covered the Kristaps Porzingis trade thoroughly in their previous episode (go back and listen if you haven't) they were able to focus on everything else that happened this week. The Mavericks blew out the Detroit Pistons early in the week and then split two games with the Los Angeles Clippers to end the week. The Outsiders start by recapping the 3 games and any significant takeaways from those games.

Luka Doncic had two of his 3 highest scoring games in his career in those Clippers games with one of them being a career-high 51 points in the win. Between those huge games and the Kristaps Porzingis trade, there was a lot of interesting conversation around Doncic online. This online conversation triggered the latest Bibs rant (headphones in if you're listening in the workplace).

Finally, the boys close it out with their weekly segments. Reese's Unsung Hero and Bib's Weekly Forecast. Then close out with a little film and television talk to make sure you're up on the latest offerings in that side of the entertainment world.

    00:00:00 - 00:21:36 Intros and recaps

00:28:48 - 00:38:47 Bibs Rant (The Luka Agenda)

    00:41:15 - 00:45:04 Reese's Unsung Hero / Bibs' Weekly Forecast

00:47:40 - End Podcast Plugs, Bel Air, and New Trailer talk

    Enjoy!

  • Emergency Pod: KP is GONE! The Outsiders react

In this episode, the Outsiders assembled an emergency session to discuss the trade deadline deal that was completed by the Dallas Mavericks. After years of suffer- ok maybe not suffering, but after years of back and forth with the Kristaps Porzingis situation, the Mavs decided that they had enough.

    Trade Details

    Dallas Mavericks receive:

    • Spencer Dinwiddie
    • Davis Bertans
    • Washington Wizards receive:

      • Kristaps Porzingis
      • 2nd round pick
      • The Outsiders are NOT on the same page with regard to this trade and they go back and forth with their feelings about it.

Additionally, the Mavericks announced a contract extension for Dorian Finney-Smith 4 years, $52 million dollars. The Outsiders discuss this deal as well as we prepare for the rest of the NBA Season.

        Enjoy!

          • The Outsiders weigh in on the trade deadline and recap the 2-1 week with wins over the 76ers and Hawks

In this episode of the Mavs Outsiders Podcast, Bibs and Reese have yet another weird week of basketball to cover. This week started with a loss to the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder. The Mavericks made Josh Giddey, Tre Mann, and Lu Dort look like veteran stars as they pushed the Mavericks to overtime and then beat them calmly once they got there. The Mavericks, already without Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr., would see Maxi Kleber suffer an injury during this game as well.  Going into the next game against the 76ers did not look promising, nor did the game against the hot Atlanta Hawks. However, the team showed up for both of these games and walked away with victories. The Outsiders break down what they saw in these games. What they liked and/or different like.

After the game talk, Reese wanted to talk about the trade deadline and specifically how Mavericks fans are acting leading up to it. He's not enjoying some of the takes and he wants to let you know about it.

Of course, Reese gets back to his Unsung Hero segment and Bibs gives the Weekly Forecast.

Finally, at the end of the episode. Bibs gets Reese to talk about Moonfall. After Reese lets his feelings be known, Bibs decides to talk about a new show he's been watching, Abbott Elementary.

            00:00:00 - 00:31:10 Intros and recaps

            00:38:28 - 00:31:34 Reese Rant / Trade deadline talk

            01:00:57 - 01:04:01 Reese's Unsung Hero / Bibs' Weekly Forecast

          • The Outsiders host their first Mavs panel of 2022 to talk NBA All-Stars and the past week in Dallas Mavericks basketball

In this episode of the Mavs Outsiders podcast, Bibs and Reese bring back the panel for the first time in several months. They welcome Jose Mata (@Paradoxkilla23), Rolo (@SpeakOnItRolo), and Isaac (@IsaacAppelt) onto the podcast to talk about the latest in Dallas Mavericks basketball and in the NBA in general.  There is a lot going on right now between the All Star starter announcements, the pending trade deadline, Tim Hardaway Jr.'s serious foot injury and KP's recent mysterious knee injury. As expected we had a very interesting conversation and left no topic uncovered.  Besides the extra happenings, there was also Mavs basketball to discuss. Both Bibs and Reese predicted a 4-0 week and the Mavs proceeded to go 2-2 with one of those losses being to the Orlando Magic. The Golden State loss, while not a bad loss in and of itself, was an embarrassing blowout game where we lost Tim Hardaway Jr. to injury, then lost KP to an ejection after he kicked the ball into the stands.  Outside of the losses we had a great win against the Blazers and a big win over the Indiana Pacers in Rick Carlisle's emotional homecoming. It was a very interesting week in Dallas Mavericks basketball and that makes for great content.  In the middle portion of the podcast, the panel discusses the All-Star starter situation and then somehow get into the Rising Stars changes as well.  Finally, Bibs and Reese get into their regular segments, however this time with a twist as the guests deliver their Unsung Heroes of the week. Bibs then tries to freestyle the Weekly Forecast with a beat selected on the spot by Reese. 00:00:00 - 00:09:30 Intros 00:9:45:22 - 00:13:20 Bruh Man story 00:13:22 - 00:40:58 Game Talk 00:42:11 - 00:55:59 Random Rants 00:56:00 - 01:25:27 All-Star Talk 001:29:16 - 001:36:08 The Guests Unsung Heroes / Bibs' Weekly Forecast Enjoy! • Bib's Corner: The NBA GOAT Series 2.0 - Part 6 (30-21)

Bibs went through all of NBA history to determine the 75 GREATEST players to play in the NBA/ABA. Last year's results turned out great but there were tweaks made to the formula to see if the results could be even better. I am incredibly happy with the results and cannot wait for you to see the full list.

In part 6, I give you players numbers 30 through 21. As we get closer to the top of the list the names are going to get bigger and even more familiar. This group starts out with 3 HUGE names, two active and one retired. This group also contains more than one player that I once called my favorite player in the league. In this group you will see some of the movement that occurred with the updates and if you've been waiting for certain names, you may hear them here.
