We BACK! Week two as a general NBA pod is here. We're working on some exciting things behind the scenes so be patient with us but for now, we are pulling the NBA show we were already doing into the main feed.

This week, we talked about our weekends before diving into Captain America, Severance, Invincible, and Love Hurts in the TV/Movie section of the show.

Bibs and Reese discuss the Mavs' current situation after losing Dereck Lively to a stress fracture. The season up to this point has been a rough road, especially since Luka went down, and that road got even bumpier with Lively now on the shelf for 1-3 months (depending on who you ask). Reese and Bibs start the new year with a conversation about the Mavs trying to hold down the fort without Luka. Things got off to a rough start with Naji Marshall swinging on Jusuf Nurkic in the first game post-Luka. Naji earned himself a 4 game suspension and PJ was suspended for one. The Mavs schedule does not get any easier during this stretch either so it's going to take a collective effort to get it done.

Bibs and Reese are back in a robust episode to discuss the latest in Mavs fandom as well as their most recent movie and TV watches. The Mavs only had two games this week and both were against the Clippers. They split the two games but the loss occurred without Luka or Kyrie on the court. Getting Kyrie back proved to be enough in game 2 despite a poor shooting night from him.

Reese and Bibs drop back into your feed to recap NBA Cup week. It did not play out the way the boys wanted for the Dallas Mavericks but it wasn't all bad. The Mavs set records in their defeat of the Warriors and were able to give Klay a happy return to the team that made him. From there, the pair talked about the idea of integrating Dante Exum should he return from injury soon. Finally, the two summarized the first quarter (or so) of the season.
