  • "What is Trump's America going to be like?"

Al Brien and his wife Bev retired in 2017 and took the big, bold step to travel through the US in an RV for 6 months in 2018.

National Park’s and state parks were their place of choice to visit and explore. Every day had a unique feel to it.

The other thing they got used to was sleeping overnight in Walmart car parks. This is a bit of an RV thing … and generally there was a collection of other travellers in the corner of the carpark…huddled together for security and always up for a chat.

Their adventure didn’t just stop in the US. Further travels through South America filled up the rest of their year.

Enjoy, as Al relives the adventure.

  • "And it wasn't 2 or 3 days back in the country and we in a state of emergency"

Gareth Durrant returns to tell the story of his past 12 months of world travels and in particular his time in Bulgaria. Most importantly for Gareth, the latest time in Bulgaria has been in a Covid 19 influenced “state of emergency”.

Just imagine what it’s like to be in a distant country, with only a limited amount of the local language and being in total lockdown. Nonetheless, during this time Gareth has still been able to support social causes and provide his unique style of enthusiasm and expertise.

  • "I started to look around for something to do ... something that was memorable"
On Max’s Island, Ryan tells us about the time on long service leave he
decided to join a square rigger ship and sail from Auckland … across the
Pacific … circumnavigate Cape Horn … visit the Falkland Islands and spend
some time in South Georgia. And if that’s not enough, then sail across the
    Atlantic to Cape Town.
This is pretty special when you consider that Ryan completely lost his
sight before he went to school.
