May 2025 General Conference+ Part One

Clay and Mitch identified many invitations that members of the ⁠First Presidency⁠ and ⁠Quorum of the Twelve Apostles⁠ shared in settings other than General Conference (i.e., Church magazines, Church school devotionals, press releases, social media, temple dedicatory prayers, etc.) during May 2025. Here are a few of the invitations they discussed during this episode:

1. [President Russell M. Nelson] "Regardless of your situation, I invite every woman to consider the remarkable relationship that the Lord Jesus Christ had with His mother, Mary."

2. [President Henry B. Eyring] "To love in such a way that the needs of others are felt more deeply than their own—that is charity. That is the pure love of Christ."

3. [President Jeffrey R. Holland] "In a world tossed and torn, we need to believe the words the Lord WILL speak—not only what He has already spoken."

4. [Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf] "If you wait for sorrow to end before you experience joy, you might miss joy completely. To experience a measure of sorrow may enable your heart and mind to receive pure heavenly joy!"

5. [Elder David A. Bednar] "[Teach our children] about our Heavenly Father’s plan, the Lord Jesus Christ’s atonement, and the importance of the house of the Lord."

6. [Elder Quentin L. Cook] "Our doctrine is clear: we are to be positive and of good cheer. We emphasize our faith, not our fears. We rejoice in the Lord's assurance that He will stand by us and give us guidance and direction."
