Our guest today is a household name in the CrossFit world with a full decade of experience on the Games competition floor. He's experienced some major life changes over the past few years, including having two children and undergoing a major career change. Physical and spiritual perseverance have been his allies throughout his adult life, providing him with the grit and faith to keep moving forward amidst adversity. Gui Malheiros is a beloved member of the Mayhem Athlete community. A four-time CrossFit Games athlete, Gui has finished in the top 10 twice. Born and raised in Brazil, Gui now lives in Cookeville where he is enjoying life as a newlywed and training hard for the 2024 Games. He always seems to be having fun (at least on camera) and has a highly contagious smile. We hear from Gui today on his athletic and spiritual journeys, and how God has guided each. Chris Rix is a leader in sports as well as the spiritual. A former four-year starting quarterback for Florida State University, Chris is now "QB 1" for the Men's Ministry at ONE&ALL Church in San Dimas, CA; the Campus Pastor at their Upland, CA Campus; and has had a leadership role in FCA for several years. Chris is also an active CrossFitter at his home gym, CrossFit La Verne. He and his wife, Anita, have five amazing children, including two they have adopted through the Los Angeles County foster system.

Our guest today is a true O.G. when it comes to CrossFit. His accolades speak for themselves: five visits to the Games; five top 10 finishes; winner of the 2011 Open; and recipient of the 2015 Spirit of the Games Award. His character, however, is even more impressive. A devoted follower of Christ, he has consistently held strong to his values and his purpose in a performance-driven culture. Trey Steele and his team are moving mountains with The Hope Project in Austin, Texas. A proud Texan, Trey shares how his fitness background and journey into faith collided and culminated in his involvement with The Hope Project, which aims to connect the dots between physical and spiritual fitness. Trey also shares the story of how seeing a CrossFit champion with Galatians 6:14 tattooed on his side cut to his heart, and inspired him to explore the Bible and Christianity. Enjoy the show!
