We discuss Chapter 17 in which Dresden and Lara exercise the rule 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' and Harry channels the cocaine bear.

Dresden and Lara make a temporary truce and defend themselves against the black court vampires.

We cover Chapter 15 & 16 where Harry is exposed to Raith family political drama, Lara decides to kill them all, and the black court arrives.

Lara has Dresden and Thomas held at gunpoint, whom we discover is Thomas’ older sister. Thomas pleads for her to help him with his struggles with the Raith household but Lara is more inclined to remove Thomas and Harry from the equation with her pistols.

Lara shoots Thomas when they attempt to make a break for it. Thomas manages to distract Lara and save Harry and allow him to get a fire spell off at Lara. As Dresden tries to get Thomas to safety he mistakes Inari for an enemy and she knocks him nearly unconscious. Lara comes to take over the scene when three Black Court vampires arrive to threaten everyone there.

We discuss Chapter 13 & 14 in which we learn Arturo is the Erotic Egalitarian, Murphy obsesses over yayas, and Harry throws ashtrays around.

Dresden contacts Murphy and she provides some background history on Arturo. While they’re on the phone, an assailant attacks Harry with a poisoned blowgun dart.

Dresden makes his way to the set and is assigned to assist Joan. Filming kicks off without a hitch but near the end of the night Harry comes across a mysterious figure fleeing the set. Harry apprehends the figure who turns out to be Thomas. Just before Dresden can get any answers from Thomas, Lara has snuck up and intervened.

We chat on Chapter 12 where Harry witnesses the difference between surface looks and otherworldly, ethereal, libido and mind blowing beauty.

Dresden returns to set and discusses the case with Arturo. They are interrupted by Trixie, the star of the film who expresses her devastation at Giselle’s replacement. They are joined by the incomparable Lara Romany, who Harry deduces is actually a Raith, and part of The White Court vampires.

We discuss Chapter 10 & 11 in which Dresden hires a Merc of Mystery for vampire genocide, and has a heart to heart with his thug for hire.

Harry is led into his office and trapped in a magical binding circle. He discovers the would-be assailant is Kincaid, whom Dresden had contacted to meet prior. The two discuss and agree to work together to attack and put down Mavra’s Black Court Scourge.

Dresden heads to the SI unit to pick up his k9 ward and talk with Murphy. He finds Murphy in a miserable state as a result of the upcoming family reunion she faces. The pair have a heart to heart about family. Harry updates Karrin on the plan for the Black Court and asks her to do some internet sleuthing for him.

Here we cover Chapter 8 and 9 in which Dresden wins at the floor is electrical lava, plays doctor, finds someone's not lost keys along with a gunman. Dresden rushes to the bathroom in the dressing room to find two actors being electrocuted. Harry stops the electricity and administers CPR to Giselle. Paramedics take Giselle away and Joan leaves  to take Jake to the hospital.

Giselle is taken to the Hospital with Joan and Jake following. Dresden is introduced to Emma and provides her with Jake’s car keys for her and Bobby, who also leave the set. Harry follows suit and ends up at his office, only to be snuck up on and ambushed by a man with a gun.

Here we cover Chapter 7 where Harry explores the less than magical word of being a Porn Production Assistant. AKA: Guffie or Gofer.

Harry begins his undercover career as a PA. Upon his arrival at the studio, he meets Jake and the less than friendly Bobby. He is introduced to Joan Dallas the producer and is immediately put to work. While finishing setting up the set and chatting with Joan, Harry is overwhelmed by a malicious energy ready to attack.

Here we discuss Chapter 6 in which Murphy shows off her martial arts skills, teaches Harry a lesson and gets recruited as a vampire slayer.

Harry makes his way to the Dough Joe Hurricane Gym and enlists Murphy to assist with the Black Court Vampires. Murphy agrees to look after the new puppy while Harry goes to his first day on set.

Here we discuss Chapter 5 in which Harry gets the skinny on the pretty vamps, and Bob fangirls over Arturo the Suspicious' Erotic Features.

Harry returns to his apartment and gets information from Bob on the White Court Vampires. Harry sends Bob on a mission with Mister to find out where Mavra is hiding out and incidentally learns the nature of Arturo’s films.

In this episode we discuss Chapter 4 in which Harry attends a party with numerous pretty people and speaks with Arturo the Superstitious.

Harry and Thomas enter the party and meet Madge, Arturo’s ex wife and investor. They talk a bit and then go to the Study to meet Arturo. Arturo speaks with Dresden about the Evil Eye and why he thinks he’s being targeted. Arturo hires Dresden officially.
