McCarthy: need a debt deal “this week” to avoid default

Tim Scott (R-S.C.) sets his sights on the White House after announcing his bid for the 2024 presidency. Also, according to sources, Donald Trump asked whether he could push back against Justice Department efforts to recover classified documents still in his possession during conversations with his lawyer over compliance with a federal subpoena.
