  • It’s Hammer Time July 3, 2020 with Precinct 2 Constable Gene DeForest
“It’s Hammer Time,” the popular Facebook Live and YouTube show at MCPLive.TV will host a July 3, 2020, 12 noon, show with Precinct 2 Montgomery County Constable Gene DeForest, who is running for re-election on July 14, 2020, Republican Runoff Election. The talented Reagan Reed, Vice Chairman of the Montgomery County Republican Party, will continue to host the show. DeForest has stood alongside conservatives politically for many decades. He stood up to the cronyism of former Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal and even earned membership on Doyal’s political “Hit List.” DeForest was a Conroe Police Officer for approximately twenty years before he became the Constable of Precinct 2, a position DeForest has held since January 1, 2001. DeForest has been a certified peace officer for 35 years. DeForest has served Constable Precinct 2, which includes the City of Conroe, very well. Precinct 2 is the main hub for civil process service in Montgomery County. Constable DeForest developed a reserve unit along with a Mounted Posse Division of volunteers. Unlike many other southeast Texas constables, DeForest has chosen to permit the Sheriff’s Office to do its job with law enforcement while not duplicating that function extensively and expensively. Married to his wife for 41 years, with a daughter and two grandchildren, DeForest is a Marine Corps veteran. He’s a Life Member of the 100 Club, a Life Member of the Montgomery County Fair Association, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a longtime and active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Constable DeForest holds a Master Peace Officers Certificate, with over 3000 hours of education. He also obtained 18 hours of College in Law Enforcement at Del Mar College. While he worked at Conroe Police Department, DeForest earned two commendations as Officer of the Year and Detective of the Year

  • Its Hammer Time June 19, 2020
“It’s Hammer Time,” the popular Facebook Live and YouTube show at WWW.MCPLive.TV will host a June 19, 2020, 12 noon, show with Jon Bouche, the popular businessman and conservative leader, who is running for State Republican Executive Committee to represent Senatorial District 4. The talented Reagan Reed, Vice Chairman of the Montgomery County Republican Party, will continue to host the show.
The Golden Hammer‘s Publisher Kelli Ann Cook explained, “There are three major trends we’re seeing in Montgomery County, and Jon Bouche is at the forefront of all of them. First, grassroots political activists have become the engine of the Montgomery County Republican Party, which has had a sleepy run during the past quarter-century until Bouche and other grassroots leaders became involved. Second, Republicans during 2019 have become willing to challenge local democrats. It’s always easy to criticize people who are far away in places such as Washington, D.C., but our local Republican leadership needs to take on local democrats. We saw that during the November 2019 General Election and Bouche consistently leads and empowers other Republicans to do the same. Third, there’s a major new phenomenon in Montgomery County: people are wanting to move to Montgomery County for a reason which didn’t previously exist. Specifically, they want to move here and be a part of this great community, because the Montgomery County Republican Party, under the leadership of Bouche, Vice Chairman Reagan Reed, and others, has made it exciting and fun to be involved in the Republican Party. Candidates running for office in 2020 have reported many discussions they’ve had with newcomers to our community who moved here specifically because of our conservative politics.”
